Book Description

Book 2, Bride of Fae is now available.

All she wanted was a vacation - but Dumnos offered a new life

When Lilith Evergreen receives an antique ring, she dreams of a castle by the sea, a magnificent tree at cliff's edge, and a mysterious woman who bids Lilith to come to Dumnos, a land of mist and rain.

Cade Bausiney is the future Earl of Dumnos, but at present he just wants to bolster tourism to help the local economy. When Cade and Lilith meet, they're overwhelmed by desire for each other - so intense it must be magically induced.

Long ago a wyrding woman's spell ended in disaster that left two souls to haunt Dumnos to this day. Lilith and Cade must find a way to make things right - or be forever possessed by the spirits who've waited a millennium to consummate their love.

If you like the new show Once Upon A Time, you may enjoy Give Me - A Tale of Wyrd and Fae.

I think I'm in love...Yes, this hardened feminist shell that I wrap around me like a coat-of-arms melted as I read this delightful piece of pure romance.

Kindle Obsessed
Rigel ... masterfully infuse(s) a very intricate magical history ... with today's inclination to disbelieve anything that can't be logically explained ... she makes you believe in magic.

Fictional Candy
If you are looking for witches, fairies, royalty, mystery, catty French girls, and a bit of lusty love - then this book is for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars A modern fairy tale October 13, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
Lilith Evergreen is an American woman living a perfectly ordinary, happy life. That is, until her fiancé returns from a business trip in London with a ring he bought from a street vendor. When Lilith puts it on she starts to have very strange dreams - of trees, castles, and a handsome prince. Her dreams are like fairy tales. Then, after a shocking revelation at home, she decides to follow her heart and book the trip of a lifetime, to England.

When Lilith arrives in England, she quickly realises things aren't quite what they seem. The people are nice enough, but there's much more going on than meets the eye. And, despite her best efforts, she becomes entangled in the madness; involving an ancient spell, parted lovers and questions about her own heritage.

Give Me is a fascinating read. I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I first started reading, but I quickly got the hang of the blend of contemporary and magical. Despite its length, it's not the sort of story you can whizz through, as there are lots of characters and events taking place to keep track of, but don't let that put you off. This is a seriously imaginative book, both exciting and absorbing. It's a modern fairy tale that I'd recommend to those that enjoy them.

5.0 out of 5 stars The powerful magic of a well-weaved tale! April 30, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Just finished Give Me by LK Rigel last week. Wonderful story, well-weaved!

From the moment I opened the book, I was exactly where I most love to be: in a magic-filled world of witches - wyrding women, in this case - and mythos. Even when the ancient, wind-swept beach cliff turned into sunny California, 21st century, I willingly, hopefully followed. I trailed after Lilith, scared for her, angry for her, sad for her. Lourdes and Elyse lured me into their world of woes, while Bausiney and Marion brought modern-day Dumnos to life. The drippy, grey world outside my window surfaced just long enough for me to meet my kids at the bus stop, and I vaguely remember preparing dinner for my family. Meatloaf, I think...

Then, I was back, immersed in tragic decisions and lost love, wondering at how well-meaning intentions often lead us astray. Finally, relieved when. . .well, you'll have to read the book, yourself. Well past bedtime, I was still book-dazed as I brushed my teeth, awash in that familiar fog of fragmented feelings from another world - sadness, relief, anger, regret, hope. And, dare I say, even a little left over lust?

If you've become jaded, maybe lost your faith in magic? This book will make you believe, again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good. February 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
If you love fairy tales, get this book. I was hooked right away, the story was so interesting. I loved how unique it was, not like every book out there. I read the whole thing in a day, I couldn't put it down. I loved the play between the Lilith and Cade. After finishing this book, I immediately went and bought anything else I could find by LK Rigel.

5.0 out of 5 stars A New Urban Fantasy Star
Give Me is a different approach to urban fantasy and faerie. It has a fairy tale flavor, yet it has that urban realism, too. It's hard to describe, but it is wonderful to read. Read more
