Lilith Evergreen is an American woman living a perfectly ordinary, happy life. That is, until her fiancé returns from a business trip in London with a ring he bought from a street vendor. When Lilith puts it on she starts to have very strange dreams - of trees, castles, and a handsome prince. Her dreams are like fairy tales. Then, after a shocking revelation at home, she decides to follow her heart and book the trip of a lifetime, to England.

When Lilith arrives in England, she quickly realises things aren't quite what they seem. The people are nice enough, but there's much more going on than meets the eye. And, despite her best efforts, she becomes entangled in the madness; involving an ancient spell, parted lovers and questions about her own heritage.

Give Me is a fascinating read. I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I first started reading, but I quickly got the hang of the blend of contemporary and magical. Despite its length, it's not the sort of story you can whizz through, as there are lots of characters and events taking place to keep track of, but don't let that put you off. This is a seriously imaginative book, both exciting and absorbing. It's a modern fairy tale that I'd recommend to those that enjoy them.

I'm a tough reviewer and this book had me hooked from the very beginning. I was able to surmise what was going on with the main character Lillith very quickly. The author could have done some more character development once the story got going. I realize that she's setting everything up for the next book, but it felt rushed and ended rather abruptly. I will continue to read books from this author.

Just finished Give Me by LK Rigel last week. Wonderful story, well-weaved!

From the moment I opened the book, I was exactly where I most love to be: in a magic-filled world of witches - wyrding women, in this case - and mythos. Even when the ancient, wind-swept beach cliff turned into sunny California, 21st century, I willingly, hopefully followed. I trailed after Lilith, scared for her, angry for her, sad for her. Lourdes and Elyse lured me into their world of woes, while Bausiney and Marion brought modern-day Dumnos to life. The drippy, grey world outside my window surfaced just long enough for me to meet my kids at the bus stop, and I vaguely remember preparing dinner for my family. Meatloaf, I think...

Then, I was back, immersed in tragic decisions and lost love, wondering at how well-meaning intentions often lead us astray. Finally, relieved when. . .well, you'll have to read the book, yourself. Well past bedtime, I was still book-dazed as I brushed my teeth, awash in that familiar fog of fragmented feelings from another world - sadness, relief, anger, regret, hope. And, dare I say, even a little left over lust?

If you've become jaded, maybe lost your faith in magic? This book will make you believe, again.

I enjoyed this book, it was a quick read, entertaining and had a couple great romances going on at once. I didn't find it hard to read with POV and timeline switching around but I did find that it ended rather abruptly and that's why it is getting 3 instead 4 stars.

I wish the rating system allowed halves because I feel that it deserves more than 3 but not 4.

I would absolutely read another one if this became a series and I will be watching this author for more books.

I received a copy of this book from Promotional Book Tours in exchange for an honest review.~WaAr~

Give Me is the first book in the Tethers series by Lk Rigel. I really enjoyed this book and the imagery the author writes in it. You will fall in love with Lilith and what she goes through and how strong she is.I just love the characters! Lk Rigel leaves you wanting more with how the book ends!

Lilith Evergreen is from the United States and living a happy life with Greg, a socialite, until Greg goes on a business trip and comes back to meet her at a restaurant. Lilith's world crumbles and he hands her blow off money, so she decides to go on a trip to Tintagos Castle. She has been dreaming about it for years. Lilith arrives to Dumnos and meets Cade Bausiney. They have a instant connection and fire between them. Lilith learns of the lore behind Dumnos, Tintagos Castle, and the Tragic Fall Inn. Lilith gets another shock when she discovers that not all the lore is just Fairy tales. Will Lilith beat the curse? What is going on between her and Cade? I give this book a 5 star review! Can't wait to read Bride of the Fae #2 book in the Tethers series!

This is a story of a young woman caught up in a past she has no clue about. Lilith is dumped by her boyfriend. Having seen a travel brochure for "A magical fairyland" trip to Dumnos, she decides to get away for a while.

The story goes back & forth between long, long ago, and the present, weaving a tale of wyrders and lovers and magic spells.

I found the story fascinating and totally different from anything I've read before. This is a new genre for me, but I have to admit, I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend it for a quick read and a fascinating fairy tale.

If you love fairy tales, get this book. I was hooked right away, the story was so interesting. I loved how unique it was, not like every book out there. I read the whole thing in a day, I couldn't put it down. I loved the play between the Lilith and Cade. After finishing this book, I immediately went and bought anything else I could find by LK Rigel.

The author had so many characters overlapping each other, without fully developing them as individuals, it was difficult to care about any of them.

This gets only 3 stars, I'm afraid.

I felt a connection to Lillith and other characters. The book hooked me in and kept me. But...

I'm not a huge fan of switching back and forth with such inconsistency. And it was easy to foresee the happenings in the book as it went. It also ended too abruptly without much intrigue for the next book.

All in all it was OKAY.

I fell in love with the adventure and the back and forth between time. A little spoiler: I didn't know what to expect with Elyse but I didn't expect her to become bitter and lonely. But I enjoyed this read and I would read more of this author's works.
