This book was fantastic, I am so glad I bought it. I feel like so many of the people who try to underestimate or talk down about the tea party movement have never even BEEN to a tea party rally!!

FINALLY, a book written BY the people, FOR the people of the tea party movement.

Admittedly, I was nervous this book would be boring, but it was a really fun read....I finished it in one day! I loved the way Armey and Kibbe tell the stories of a select few individuals who planted the seed for the movement in the very beginning stages. I only wish more people would tell their stories.

It's amazing what can be accomplished when the silent majority finally gets up from their couches and makes their voices heard!!

Dick Armey and Matt Kibbe have hit the nail right on the head with this book. This is a must read for anyone involved or interested in the tea party movement, its roots, and more importantly, its future.

Whether you are an avid Tea Party activist or just curious about the political process, you'll find something interesting in this book. As it chronicles the Tea Party movement, the book also provides practical tools for average Americans to use to influence government. I recommend this book as both a good read and a great gift.

I was pleased to get my copy of Give Us Liberty. It's the most accurate description of the origins of the tea party movement and what motivates its rank and file members. I thought Mr. Armey and Mr. Kibbe got it right when they outlined a road map to save America from the big government progressives.

If you want to understand what motivates the Tea Party movement and how it grew and developed read this book. It is written for everyone by those who are on the inside of the movement. What is most refreshing about the book is that Mr. Armey and Mr. Kibbe wrote it to explain and promote the movement not their own political futures.

I recommend this book to everyone. I just bought two more copies for family members.

Great book!

With his wonderful knowledge of the history of the conservative cause, Dick Armey brings us up-to-date on the current manifestations of the movement. Co-author Matt Kibbe brings an edge to the topic that will appeal to young Americans desperately seeking an alternative to the old ways of the two mainstream parties.

Reading GIVE US LIBERTY reminded me of an Abraham Lincoln quote: "Politicians are a set of men who have interests aside from the interests of the people, and who, to say the most of them, are, taken as a mass, at least one long step removed from honest men. I say this with the greater freedom because, being a politician myself, none can regard it as personal."

Most of us perhaps feel satiated by books on the Tea Party, Freedom and Washington's lurch leftward. Armey and Kibbe revived my appetite for the subject. I plan to buy 4 or 5 more as gifts for my nieces & nephews.

Give Us Liberty is a book that even our Founding Fathers would have loved to read. It explains the values of what this country was built upon. Our government has expanded into our lives so much that we do not have the basic freedoms that Washington, Jefferson, Franklin, and others fought so hard for.

A quick read and a great journey of what we were, what we are, and what we need to become, in order for our grandchildren and their grandchildren to enjoy the pleasures of being an American the way that we ought to be.

Dick Armey and Matt Kibbe, along with FreedomWorks, have done a great justice to the Tea Party Movement and the power which needs to be placed back into the people's hands...the United States Constitution says it in the first three words, "We the people" and in Give Us Liberty, Armey and Kibbe reestablishes those three simple words which have greater meaning than any others in the rest of that great historic document.

This is an excellent book that explains the Tea Party from it's beginnings to current day and is a must read for anyone who wants to understand what the Tea Party is all about. The stories of events along the way are depicted exactly as they occurred. I know because I was a volunteer at many of these events.Give Us Liberty: A Tea Party Manifesto

This is a well written account of events that has led to a political upheaval. The "old guard" politicians have lost sight of who they work for, and the American public is about to remind them.

Dick Armey has a long history in politics and explains the events clearly.

What a great book! It clearly defines the tea party movement and it's roots. Our focus is small government, low taxes and free markets and this book clearly delivers that message. This book is a must read for anyone concerned with the growth of government, out of control spending, national debt and taxes. After reading this, I decided to purchased the audio book from [...]. I have since listened to it about a half dozen times while driving.
