Editorial Reviews

Review

"A charming, heartwarming love story. Ms. Brock handles the heroine's self esteem issues regarding her weight with sensitivity. and yet with a realism with which many readers will be able to identify....Ms. Brock has crafted a superb romance novel that had this reader giving a huge sigh of satisfaction at the end."

5.0 out of 5 stars Heartfelt and lusty romance with a BBW heroine!, May 2, 2011

Jessy Monroe struggles with self-esteem issues and her growing attraction to Michael Forrester, the man who literally rescued her from a storm. She believes, and many have told her, that because her body size is large, no man will find her attractive. Seeing the relationship bloom between these two well-drawn characters as winter storms rage outside is one of the many pleasures of this book. Despite Jessy's original shyness things heat up to some sizzling scenes that lead on to a satisfying conclusion. A fun read!

1.0 out of 5 stars Expensive, weak, and AWFUL, February 22, 2012
This review is from: The Giving Season (Kindle Edition)
If you're a plus sized girl who likes reading about other similar women and falling in love well this is NOT the story for you. If you like feeling bad about yourself and reading about spineless, weak men then please do buy this book.

This is a $0.99 story if I've ever read on.

The hero is one of THE most weak men I've ever read in my life. There's been a couple but this guy is moseying on down the rankings.

The heroine is supposedly "too fat to love" and she's all woe is me. The hero is this lumberjack looking guy who's all sweet as pie but with a harpy ex wife who's a total biotch and THE worst mother. Extremely vicious and cruel and this weak, spineless, sniveling "man" just lets her attack her own child...HIS child too and degrade her weight and looks in front of a stranger?

I HATE reviews like the 4 previous. Obviously all shills. There's some good in this book but the bad and awful outweigh it ten fold and the fact that these "reviews" just write miniscule glowing reviews should have told me this book was crap.

Can't believe it's $5. It's honestly not even worth a dollar. This is a complete freebie worthy book because it's not worth giving money for.

RUN, don't walk AWAY from this God awful story and it's high price tag for crap.
