The fictional story in Giving Up challenges everything to race and class to success and oppression to the value of the American dream. Written by an ordinary man who radically lives out "the teachings of an ancient philosopher," its message is more than challenging...it's also fresh, freeing, and exciting.

I had a great time with this book. It's kind of rare to find a book that will both challenge and entertain you. The story keeps you invested the whole way through and is powerful in a way that may start to change the way you think. Definitely worth picking up and checking out.
