Product Description

Vitaminwater XXX is named for its "triple antioxidants" formula, which specifically refers to the acai, blueberry, and pomegranate flavors that make up the brand. While the product contains no juice, it does use fruit extracts to derive its pleasant fruit flavor. However, we find it difficult to differentiate between the three advertised flavors. Still, the flavor is refreshing and quenching, and we'd best compare it to a sweeter (almost too sweet), stronger version of the Formula 50 variety. Packaging is the trademark Vitaminwater design, with the color black being used to complement the dark red hue of the liquid. I like Vitamin Water, and I drink it all the time during my workouts. However, if you watch your local markets, you can get much better deals. I've seen it as low as $0.88 per bottle on sale. DO NOT pay these insane prices!

While, I'm not sure I really buy into the whole vitamin water thing, I will say that this flavor is actually pretty tasty. This is not to be confused with the 10 calorie version of this bottle. Oh yes! For the diet conscious, you can save 40 of the 50 calories that comes in this bottle. The 10 calorie version also only has 3g of sugar vs. 13 in the non-diet XXX. That said, I need those 10g of sugar and 40 calories to feel happy about the taste. The 10 calorie one is really so-so, relative to this one which is the perfect not to sweet, slightly fruity flavor. Hence, if you can get past the additional calories and sugar, this acai-blueberry-pomegranate blend of anti-oxidants, which make up the flavor's name of "XXX" is a thumbs up.

I find this drink refreshingly delicious after chilling. However, the ridiculously expensive shipping charge inconveniently makes ordering it online a non-option; I can purchase it for $1.00 (+ 8.25% tax) from Walmart. I live out in the country and will now have to delay this treat until after my next shopping trek into a city, which is what makes it inconvenient.
