With the low cost, I suspected incorrectly that it was a single adjuster.
Yes for $5 you do get a pair of adjusters
Small enought to use on a John Deere D140 tractor/snowblower
UPDATE JAN 28, 2016
I came back to do a re-purchase.
I am not sure why the title says "for passenger"
I found my adjuster from before and did not repurchase.
AMAZON needs to remove the word Passenger if these are really for a garden tractor.
TIP if you bought these for a passenger car and they are too small then simply use four hooks instead of five hooks
Take a pair of pliers, and bend the s hook tighter on the rubber side. This will prevent it from falling off.
Pre stretch at home. This is not high quality rubber, but it will do the job. With that said, the elasticity of these aren't at their full capacity until you pre stretch it from its molded shape. You can stretch it by just pulling on it, but unless your very strong, its not worth the effort.
instead, just hold it between your two hands closely together, and just pull. It will have a little give, and you work your way around and stretch it out. Once this is done, you can see that you can stretch the whole thing. You'll thank me later
Bought this product hoping they'd fit (they're marketed for passenger car tires) and was delighted to find they work great. Require a fair amount of strength to hook to the chains, but that just means they'll be held tight!
Each purchase is for one pair (two bands). Seeing as how I wanted to go the extra mile and have bands on the outside AND inside of each wheel, I went ahead and bought a second pair.
So far, so good. Working perfectly now!
Only thing that I'd change (and not worth knocking a star off) is having a sixth hook per band. For aesthetic reasons, it's hard to get an even pentagon shape (like in the photo). On an actual tire, it's difficult and they look sloppy and uneven. Having a sixth hook would allow you to line up parallel lines for a clean looking hexagon much easier.
Having said that, you can add your own by bending comparable sizes of mild steel and viola you're done.
I have a set of chains and a set of cables for my 2001 Toyota Corolla.
It worked amazingly for both the chains and cables.
I am glad I bought two sets.
I plan to buy two more, since they also worked for my chains on my Chevy Tahoe.

Buy extra ones, as these are a necessity if you're using tire chains, and they will break, sooner than later.Published 1 day ago by Scubanut1000
Do not use with SC chains/cables. Manufacturer specifically advises not to use them.Published 3 days ago by AWRose
Used 1 time and rubber broke. Ordered size appropriate for my wheels yet seemed undersized to me.Published 6 days ago by Richard Theriault
