4.0 out of 5 stars Actually waterproof and good for hours to about 25 degrees above zero
These gloves keep my hands completely dry when they are submersed in water. I wash windows in Wisconsin in the winter and these gloves work great at keeping your hands completely dry. The only draw back is they are a mid weight glove and when the temp drops below twenty five degrees they only give fingertip protection for about an hour. Well worth the price you just may...

3.0 out of 5 stars not what i expected
Got these for my husband for fishing but they were not as I expected. They seem to run big and they are a bit bulky. Other reviews say they let you remain dexterous but I don't see that.

Well worth the price you just may want to keep a heavy pair of thermal gloves handy if prolong cold is an issue.

They work great as fishing gloves too the mid weight makes them much more dexterous than heavy weighted thermal gloves. Perfect for handling fish and getting to and from the shanty. I'd give them five stars if they were just a bit warmer.

Keep in miind that very few gloves for this price will perform as well in cold wet situations and still allow you to actually use your hands effectively.

I really rate them at four and a half stars, great bang for the buck.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Winter Sailing Gloves, November 3, 2010
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
If you are like me, you tried ski gloves for winter sailing. Which lasted exactly until the first time you pulled up a wet rope. Then you had nasty soggy freezing gloves and had to take them off. These fix the problem. Neoprene lined with fleece (polyester, I believe). Your hands can't get wet from handling wet gear. They are so warm I had to remove them once because my hands were actually too hot. And they are not super-expensive, like the ones sold at specialty sailing stores.

I think these are a great glove for winter sailors. As long as the water isn't frozen, no reason not to be out there enjoying the winter weather under sail!!

4.0 out of 5 stars GREAT FOR STOCKING GROCERIES & RESETS!!!, August 3, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have to tell you I was cautious. I searched and searched for a pair of gloves for work. I am a frozen food clerk for a grocery chain and needed something waterproof, warm and with great dexterity. I read a review from a lady from NC I believe, and she boasted about these gloves, I have to say after just 6 hrs I am ordering a second pair. My hands get cold, wet, frozen then thawed several times a day. After they were delivered today, with these gloves, my hands stayed warm and dry. I can type on the keyboard, the small hand held scanners and place price tags I knock down. AWESOME!!!!
I only gave it 4 stars because I figured I should own them longer before giving them all 5.

Absolutely nothing bad about these gloves! They're very soft inside and have a nice grip on the outside. This was exactly what I needed - a pair of gloves that will not only last me a long time, but be great for ice fishing and working in the snow. Thank you so much!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best keeping warm gloves ever, April 26, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I work with a team that does grocery resets. Our sets last for a month and then we are on to a new one. Sometimes we must set frozen foods. I was so tired of frozen fingers that I started looking for a pair of gloves that would keep my hands and fingers warm for a long period of time for a decent price. This is that pair. I have very small hands so when I saw they came in an XS I was excited. I needed the flexibility to grab tags to place. They run very true to size. When everyone saw that my hands were staying warm and dry they all wanted a pair for themselves. They are wonderful and well worth every penny!

I work outdoors sampling streams and ponds, sometimes I need to hammer the ice to reach the water. Absolutely perfect. I can't even tell my hand is submerged in the ice water! We are buying for the whole crew now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Use this for cold wet weather fishing, November 26, 2011

Just used this based on the reviews, and these gloves worked great! Hands were warm and dry the entire time. After hours of cold fishing your hands come out fine and not damp or looking like rasins.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for riding in the rain., April 17, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I originally bought these gloves for working in the rain, but due to the fact that neoprene doesn't hold up well to abrasive material, I opted instead to use them for riding bicycles in the rain. These gloves are constructed like a wet suit & probably doesn't keep the hands dry, but they should keep them warm at any rate. If you are looking for gloves for handling material, and or keeping your hands dry, these aren't the gloves. They will keep wet hands warm however.

You know those rubber yellow gloves some people use for doing dishes? The ones that are tight around the wrist, but the fingers are almost always too long? Think of these are the winter edition of those, in a more fashionable color (depending on your fashion circle). I picked these up to keep in my car for the days when I need to put on my tire chains. I wanted something warm and dry, with good grip, and that wouldn't take up a lot of space (they actually live in the same box as my Thule tire chains). The texture of these gloves is great for grip, but the poorly fitted fingers can sometimes make grabbing the wires that make up my tire chains difficult. I've never tried swimming in them, but they're waterproof enough to keep my hands from getting wet working in a snowy wheel well long enough to fit a set of chains. So, all told, I'm happy with them, especially for the price.
