Warm glove, doesn't dissapoint,

I wear these gloves year round when I fish - winter or summer. In the winter, the gloves do a surprisingly good job of keeping your hand warm - even if your hand is wet after landing a fish. The velcro wrist straps also do a good job of keeping water out. When used with a waterproof jacket, I had a near-watertight seal at my wrist.
In the summer, the gloves are useful in keeping my hands protected when navigating around rocks and trees. The best thing is probably that they help you to keep a grip on fish you catch. The one thing I'm not particularly impressed by on these gloves is the finger access. The index finger and thumb have slits to access the fingers without removing the entire glove. The folded back finger tips on the gloves are then held in place by little velcro patches. The patches don't do a great job holding the fingertips back. When I'm changing flies, I usually end up removing the entire glove, which isn't a huge pain but it gets annoying after you've done it a few times. I have had these gloves for several years now and they are still holding together pretty good. The finger slits are growing larger, but they're in incredible shape considering the abuse I've given them. All in all, I would recommend these gloves.

I use these gloves for photography trips where it's cold / rainy. They keep my hands warm and dry, allow me easily dig through my gear, and the foldable thumbs / index fingers mean I can easily make camera adjustments as I shoot. I recently used these on a trip to Alaska for wildlife photography, and they were a lifesaver. My only complaint is that the slits for the fingers seem to be growing a bit larger, but for the price and flexibility, these can't be beat.

Good Not Perfect,

I got these gloves for cold wet weather cycling. The gloves are pretty waterproof under reasonable conditions. The velcro wrist straps are tacky and worthless. I removed mine and one left some decent holes on one glove, but they just looked and felt horrible(cheap) with them on.The glove is put together well, but they could use some work on the inside seams to make a flatter seam. They can rub on knuckles if flexing a lot and over prolonged use could cause irritation.Good overall, just need a few tweeks.

Couldn't imagine ice fishing without them. Great for any hands on winter project. Order a size smaller than you normally would.

Warm, solid, and well-made. The blue straps get in the way and don't add much to the glove; they feel like a last-minute addition. My larges were a little larger than I expected.

These gloves work great keeping your hands warm and dry. I don't like how the slit finger system works on these glvoes, I will probably just cut the fingers offer where they are slit.

The gloves work as advertised, but don't fit like a 'glove.' They seem to run a little large, although still manage to work quite well with the very functional finger and thumb hole. The velcro that holds the finger and thumb portion seems to be poorly and cheaply made, but the glove itself is well made and works as advertised as I said above. I would definitely recommend them if you can get the right size.

I have big hands. I usually have a hard time getting gloves that fit. The 2XL size fits me very well, with fingers long enough.
Like another reviewer pointed out, the 'strap' at the base looks like an afterthought so I too chose to remove them. As for finger-less, you can buy this model with remove-able fingers, or with solid fingers - your choice. I wear these at night for sleeping as I have RA, and these gloves keep my hands warm enough to sweat at night (which is what I was after) I am well-pleased with these, and would buy them again. |
