Perhaps I am too fastidious,

While I could not expect much from only 3 reviews, those 3 amounted to a 4-star rating. Nevertheless I do not even want to give these gloves one star, but Amazon requires at least one.
I read every review of every fingerless glove offered by Amazon and this glove seemed -- from the 3 reviews -- to at least be somewhat better than all but one other glove, which was a $27 cashmere fingerless glove. I also ordered and like the cashmere gloves very much. However, when the Glacier fingerless gloves arrived the other day, they matched some of the most caustic reviews of *other* gloves on the Amazon site. To give an idea, the fit and workmanship were depressing. The "padded" palms bunch on my palms, because they are sewn out of kilter with the rest of the glove. There is no way to flatten out the palms, making wearing the gloves a bit like having a wad of plastic in your hand. The gloves seem to be made by, first, manufacturing whole gloves and then giving a pair of scissors to an unskilled person, who cuts off the ends of the fingers in a hurry. The remaining cut off fingers were unraveling on arrival, one with a moderately long thread dangling from one of the many poorly-done finger seams. The rest of the cut-offs were ragged and uneven. The labels inside the wrists of the gloves are made of stiff semi-cloth and placed where they continually irritate the wrists and cannot be smoothed out. The inside seams are raw and uncomfortable and rub irritations on the skin where the sewing and the interior seams push into the skin of the user's hands. The elastic - such as it is - in the wrists is just two 1/8-inch-wide, cheap elastic bands sewn onto the inside of the wrists and also itch and bind. Overall, while I paid only around $11.50 for the gloves, I feel that they are worth less than half of that, since they are ill-made, uncomfortable, ragged and generally low-quality. They represent what many products coming out of China are these days. They seem to be thrown together by (I can only guess) unskilled labor for volume production purposes rather than consumer satisfaction. Sorry, but I could not recommend them to anyone, although my thoughts appear to be quite different than the other 3 reviewers. Perhaps I got what I paid for.

Great Fingerless Glove,

These are high quality fingerless gloves. Now don't get me wrong, they are lightwieght and not for subfreezing conditions, but I wear them all the time on cool Alaskan days, which is most of the year. The fleece is very compact for wind proof quality (again they are fingerless and find myself still sticking my hand in my pockets to keep my fingertip warm when standing around). If you are on the move, these are perfect however... keeping your hands warm yet allowing your extremities to release extra heat. The only bad thing I can say is that the palm pads are wearing too fast and should be more durable for those who wear them to the extent and conditions I do. The sizing is right on. I would say I have a very average adult male hand and got the large and, well, it fits like a glove; snug but not tight. It takes a lot to get a 5 star rating.

I recently purchased the Glacier Glove Windproof Fleece Fingerless Gloves size Medium in Black...they shipped and arrived very quickly which was nice and just in time for a fishing trip I took. My and a buddy went to the Wallace River near Sultan, Wa. Which feeds into the Skykomish River. It was a very cold January day and started snowing even. I was so glad to have my new gloves. They kept my hands warm and dry all day and with them being fingerless it still allowed me to tie knots and use my fingers as I normally would when casting and changing lures. Needless to say I pulled in two nice Steelhead that day and thank my new Glacier Gloves for keeping my hands warm and dry. I recommend these gloves to any Northwest Fisherman!

Got these for my son to use on a Habitat for Humanity build and he loves them! He wears them all the time and I've 'borrowed' them a couple of times myself. Great gloves!

Look brown in the picture, and the description didn't say black when I bought them,

Thought they were brown (from the picture), and there wasn't a "black" descriptor until after I bought them. I fish in Colorado, and while these gloves are warm, even on cold cold Colorado days, surfaces exposed to the sun can get quite warm, including black gloves. In full sun these gloves are like wearing ovens on your hands, which is why I tried to buy brown gloves when I ordered these. The price is great, and these gloves are perfect for windy cloudy days on the water.
