Info regarding what you actually receive,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Glacier Water, 384-Ounce (Pack of 3) (Grocery)
I do not normally write reviews but I am doing so for this product so that the next buyer, since there only seems to be one left, will not have the same problems I have had with this.Regarding the product itself, Glacier Clear Purified Drinking Water, it tastes much as any other bottled water does on the low end of things, nothing special. The issues I had were with what you actually receive quantity wise. I was under the impression that I would be receiving either (3) 3 gallon size bottles of water, which I have never seen before, except from the home delivery companies or possibly (3) cases of (24) 16 oz bottles, or (9) 1 gallon jugs. I received none of these. Instead I received 1 box with (3) 1 gallon (128 oz each) bottles for a total of 384 oz. There is also no video tapes of any sort, which I did not expect anyway. My other issue was that my first shipment had leakage problems as well and one of the bottles burst when I removed it from the box. I received a replacement, also (3) 1 gallon bottles as well, and these also had leakage, but not as much as the original shipment. Amazon responded to my issues and that has been taken care of, but I wanted the next buyer to be aware of the content issues and possible leaking. These are shipped in a box fitted for the 3 jugs, and then put in a larger brown box with some of the brown paper stuffing used. I received these shipped via FedEx. So, you do get a package of (3), but it is 384 oz total, in (3) 1 Gallon Jugs, like a gallon of milk, and not (3) 384 oz packages totaling 1152 oz. I should have realized this from the shipping weight, as 1152 oz would have weighed around 80 pounds. It is much cheaper to either buy the water in regular stores, or even take an empty milk carton and fill it for around 45 cents a gallon. I am generally happy with most items purchased from Amazon, but even if this were $1 I would not buy this again. It is too heavy to life at once, and the leaking is not fun either. The water is also nothing special. I have used a gallon of it to make oatmeal, it works well for that. I hope this review helps. I gave 3 stars for the product itself. |
