Let's start with the price issue: I purchased this product from Amazon for $32.11 for a case of four (200 bags), with no taxes and with free delivery. I was very happy with the price, given the convenience of having the item delivered to my home. Since pricing has changed since then, you may be well advised to research the going rate for these bags in your area, before making the decision to buy.

Regarding the product itself: I had been using the drawstring trashbag variety exclusively, before trying out Glad Handle Tie. I had two concerns:
1) would the volume of trash the bag can hold be affected by the location of the handles?
2) would the handles allow for as good trash containment as the drawstrings do?

Answers:
1) After a side by side comparison, there is no volume difference;
2) Actually, the handles are MUCH stronger then the strings (which would sometimes snap); handles are an improvement over strings;

Unexpected upside:
When cleaning the house and carrying the bag with me I am now able to hang it conveniently on door knobs, drawers and doors. This makes it easier to place trash inside (the strings were not as strong and required that the bag be placed directly on the floor, which would frequently lead to spilleage).

Once again: two thumbs up to the product. But be weary of the price!

I love the tall tie handles. They are so easy to use when tying trash up. These bags are hard to find in retail stores so when I found them on Amazon, I bought 3-4 cases. They hold a lot, are sturdy and the handles make them perfect for me.

I can't understand why you can't find these bags. They are wonderful. We have a taller trash can, and these are the only bags that work well unless we pay $$$ for Container Store bags. I love the handle-ties, so convenient. They must not have enough margin on this product, because I've read others have trouble finding them. I don't get it. I'll buy them online or whatever it takes.

I loved the price so I bought these bags which are already my very favorite.

I have used Glad Handle Tie bags for years. I will drive to several different stores to find them and pay whatever the price. I know that these bags will perform well. They are tear resistant. The handles make closing and carrying the bag comfortable (as comfortable as handling gargabe can be! LOL)
Recently, they have been hard to find in my local retail stores, so I had an ah-ha moment and checked Amazon. I am thrilled that I found them AND the price is excellent!! I have paid $7.99 for a box of 50. Worth the price!!

I've been using Glad handle tie tall kitchen trash bags for years. They can't be found anywhere around my house anymore. Instead they have replaced them with quick ties which don't work for me. When I saw the trend, I stocked up on the handle ties and they should hold me for a while. I'm happy to know that Amazon carries them, but for how long? I'm tempted to horde some more.

I've used this product for a few years and all of a sudden no local stores carry it any more, including Target and Walmart, so I had to seek elsewhere. Due to a medical issue I only have use of one hand so I need something that is sturdy and easy to lift from the kitchen trash container. Other drawstring bags cause me problems because of the long lifting.... the drawstring is sooooo long. I found exactly what I needed on Amazon.com and I'm ecstatic. Stocked up and intend to purchase a few more as back up. Delivery was quick and the product is exactly what I needed. Thanks Amazon.com!

These are great. When you go to empty, the handles are more gentle, and easier to carry than the bags with strings which cut into your hands. I use nothing else.

As others have stated, these are excellent bags, but once again I am concerned at Amazon's seeming price-gouging. These can indeed be difficult to find, but I just located them online at KMart.com for $7.99 for a box of 50--with store pick-up you can get four boxes for $31.96. Even with tax that is cheaper than Amazon's "subscribe-and-save" price, and significantly cheaper than the regular, non-subscriber price. I also was just in my local Target and saw a box of 56 (so, more than the Amazon version) for a little over eight dollars--again, buying four boxes at that price would STILL be lower than Amazon's price, even the subscribe-and-save prices. We still have half a box of the 56-count of these in our kitchen, so I didn't buy them at Target when I saw them, but I will be returning there when we're closer to running out. In these economic times it is very disappointing that Amazon would overcharge in this way--the convenience of Subscribe and Save is wonderful, but I don't want to pay 10 to 15% more for it when it's supposed to be *saving* me money!

Before these bags, I've been using the 30 gallon black bags in my 13 gallon trash can. But once I saw these bags on amazon, I though t I would give them a try. I was glad I did. These fit perfectly in the 13 gallon trash can and are very strong. Easy to pull out with the handles. The handles are strong too and very easy to carry! Great bags!
