GLAD Press'n Seal is a welcome discovery for anyone's home. I call it Press'n SAVE - - it not only insures freshness, it saves users from potential messes & eliminates the frustrating madness experienced by many when 'fighting' Saran wrap or similar plastic coverings. It is lightweight so shipping is not a huge expense.
The promoters call it "versatile" and suggest different uses, some more helpful than others (see website). GLAD manufacturer describes this as "an embossed film that seals" when two fingers press it onto a container. It is distributed by the Chlorox co., a dependable corporation. Containers can be covered with Press'n Seal and actually stack in the 'frig, remarkably spillproof. My favorite miracle, though, results from using it for covering foods to microwave. It is amazing, and wonderfully EASY TO USE (& re-use if you're careful). No more being stuck >> up to the elbows << in wrap! What an absolute lifesaver says mcHAIKU, no longer feeling such a dunce in the kitchen.

From homemade baby food to preventing freezer burn,

This product came out right about the time I was making my own baby food. I felt SO fortunate. I'd basically make steamed veggie and fruit shakes, pour the veggie mixtures into ice cube trays, then cover trays with Press N Seal and freeze (I'd then pop out the cubes and store in Ziplock in freezer). Currently, I find it very helpful to prevent freezer burn in foods like single portions of tomato paste to marinated meat. I've not had ANY trouble with freezer burn since wrapping meat in this. The other posters are also correct in that it's great for covering leftovers on a plate, in a bowl, or Tupperware when you can't find the lid!
P.S. I've NEVER had issues with glue goo on plates. NEVER.

I was skeptical, but bought this on a whim at Costco about a year ago. Now I am a convert. This is MILES better than the old plastic wrap. It really stays where you put it. You can turn the bowl or plate upside down and nothing leaks, if carefully sealed. If stretched tight, I can even stack things on top of it and it stays wrapped. I use it on glass, plastic, paper and styrofoam. It works really well on glass. You can cover a bowl of soup and invert it and it won't leak. It works for paper plates, but it only seals to itself so you have to use more and go well underneath it. Once you have it on though, it stays there. No accidental losses. If you are careful, you can even reuse it again and again to recover the same item. Great for those bowls that don't have lids. Also wonderful for giving away meals and treats. We use disposable bowls or plates and this stuff will cover it so completely and securely it is almost like having a custom fit lid. And our friends and neighbors don't have to worry about returning a dish. This is really great when you are giving meals to people who are having an emergency or hard situation where they have enough to deal with besides worrying who, which dish belongs to, much less when and how to return it.
I saw a review that said it was leaving a film on thier dishes. We have used this for a very long time and haven't noticed any films on the dishes.

Another use for press n' seal,
This review is from: Glad Press'n Seal Wrap, 70-Sqr Foot Rolls (Pack of 12) (Health and Beauty)
We just purchased a new couch and were very nervous about our cat scratching the couch since she scratched our old one. My husband suggested we drape fabric over the couch so she wouldn't ruin our new purchase. Being a loyal user of Press n' Seal in my kitchen I knew immediately I could put it to good use in the living room also. On the sides of the couch where she usually scratched I applied Press n' Seal to the fabric on the couch. It adhered to the fabric and stayed in place. My cat has not touched the couch and if we have visitors I simply take it off and reapply later. Several of my friends have also tried this and it works beautifully and does not hurt the fabric.

I have absolutely loved using this product since it first came on the market, and I'm still amazed at the number of friends I talk to who still have never heard of it. I'm also surprised that it can sometimes be hard to find in stores. I'm glad to see that Amazon is carrying it now. This plastic wrap can be used for basically anything that you normally use regular plastic wrap for. The only thing missing is the frustration that you can have with wraps that you have to fight with to straighten out and the fact that some wraps just don't stick that well to dishes or bowls. Press `n Seal comes off the roll easily and neatly. It has just a slight amount of adhesive on one side that really clings well to hard surfaces. This wrap may cost a little more, but I find that I use way less wrap because I only have to tear off enough to cover the top of the container and slightly down the sides. That is plenty to keep it in place. The seal that is made around the edge of the container helps prevent spills and also is much more airtight. I have found other uses for it as well and will list them below: Because it sticks to itself and then opens easily, you can make little "pouches" of snacks to take along (ie. raisins, nuts, candy), and it's also great to wrap up an apple or peeled orange that will stay clean in your purse. If I'm going to be out of the house most of the day, I often will take the medications I will need for that day and seal them in a piece of this wrap. It keeps them clean and dry in my purse. I lay lime leaves (for Thai recipes) on the surface of the wrap, fold the top over, press out all the air, and then freeze it. They keep much longer this way without the concern of freezer burn. I'm sure there are many other spices that could be frozen this way. A friend told me her husband wraps his wallet in it before going out snowmobiling or skiing. If his wallet manages to fall out of his pocket, it stays dry and the contents don't fall out. The little bit of adhesive on the wrap does not come off on any surface, so there is no concern in that area. The wrap easily opens up and recloses as needed. My husband has two great uses for this wrap. When he is doing some painting, he wraps his paint rollers and paint brushes up airtight so that he doesn't have to wash the paint out. A few hours (or days) later, he is ready to paint the next coat. The brushes and rollers don't dry out, and it saves him tons of time. His second helpful idea is to use this adhesive wrap to seal the end of an open tube of caulk. This has worked much better than putting a nail or screw in the tip of the tube. I know I have used this great product for other things that just don't come to mind right at the moment. I highly recommend trying it and finding your favorite uses.

Wraps things up tightly and doesn't tangle on the way out of the box. Particularly good for wrapping individual cuts of meat -- like pre-made hamburger, chicken breasts, filet steaks -- you want to freeze before you pop them in a bag. I find it much easier to work with than clear plastic wraps.
Only caveats are that it can sometimes be a little difficult to find the end to unwrap and rewrapping is problematic.

We haven't been able to find Glad Press'n Seal Wrap in our area for several years and after getting tangled up AGAIN in the other plastic products I decided to go on line to see if Press'n Seal was still available. It was and we bought a whole box full so that we'll never have to hassle with plastic wrap again.

This is much easier for me to use than the regular cling wrap. The press'n seal does occasionally leave a bit of residue. No problem, I was going to wash that plate anyways. Other than that, this stuff works well and as advertised.
Now the question is what to do with 12 rolls. Random gifts I suppose.
