They include; Blossom Dearie, June Christy, Carmen McCray, Chris Conner, Nancy Wilson, Sarah Vaughan, Julie London, and Nat King Cole. The Satin Doll Trio’s sound is reminiscent of other great guitar-bass-voice trios from the period as heard on recordings by artists such as; Julie London on “Julie is Her Name”, Sarah Vaughan on “After Hours”, and Ella Fitzgerald on “Take Love Easy”.
