Installation Nightmare - Does not function as intended.,
This review is from: Gladiator GarageWorks GACK04KDSX Ready-to-Assemble Modular GearBox Caster Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
If you need casters for Gladiator Gear (Garage Storeage) you should check out my experience before you buy. See my comments on these casters at [...]
In summary the product does NOT come with four locking casters as advertised - only two lock. And, installation is a nightmare. You have to use a reciprocating saw to cut out the collar that the screw-in feet attach to. Also, several of the bolts are difficult to install and two are impossible. Also, the casters mount to low and the rear casters hit on the sidewalls of the base and are prevented from swiveling freely. They only swivel about 45 degrees (22+ degrees left, 22+ degrees right). They might as well be fixed. The document I linked to above outlines my experience and illustrates my installation and modification of the GearBox with photos. I sent a copy of this document to Whirlpool. I will post an update if I ever hear back from them.

Casters don't fit,

These casters don't install well on the latest version of the cabinet. The cabinet has been "improved". I was told to flip the bottom shelf so that the flat shelf is on the bottom in order to provide a surface for the casters. This means the bottom shelf has a sharp sheet metal sides and the mounting threads stick up. It looks like it was designed to save money not to be functional. If you want casters get a different cabinet.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Gladiator GarageWorks GACK04KDSX Ready-to-Assemble Modular GearBox Caster Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this caster set because it was described by Amazon's vendor to be the exact mate for my Gladiator cabinet that was purchased from the same vendor. Of course the vendor only sold the items so their only fault perhaps was to blindly obey Gladiator's directive, which turned out to be a lie. These Gladiator casters were intended to fit this Gladiator cabinet but they do not. I called Gladiator and spoke to someone at Customer Service. Since he didn't give me his name we'll just use his nickname, which is "RUDE." I politely asked what am I to do with this set of casters that don't fit. He said "well, what's wrong with them? For starters I said the screws that were sent in the package are too short. In the second place there is a post in the way of each caster which is used for the leveling legs if you do not desire to add casters. If it were not for this pin the screws that were sent would "almost work." Let me clarify that. The screws would indeed be long enough however it is impossible to get a socket wrench or open end wrench around the hex headed screws that were supplied because the rigid edge of the cabinet it much too close to where the DESIGN IDIOTS at Gladiator mounted 2 of the 4 threaded receiving pins for these screws. So Mr. "RUDE" let me finish my explanation (I omitted my obvious sarcasm when I told him the story) and he promptly replied "oh yea, that's a design flaw" and I said "AND" "and nothing really" said Mr. Rude "you're gonna have ta (this is not a typo, I'm quoting the exact way he said it) install the cabinet floor upside down" I said that's going to look unfinished and frankly pretty ugly. Mr. Rude said "well that's it, we're telling that to everyone." I would have liked to ask Mr. Rude if he actually went to a "Customer Service" school, because somebody wasted their money sending this clown.
Fast forward to my remedy. I used a half round file on the mounting frame to allow wrench access to 2 of the 4 screws of each of the casters. I purchased 16 new screws at 1 1/4" long. I bought a 2 x 4 piece of framing lumber from which I marked 4 equal pieces around 2" long. I used a 3/4" spade bit at the end of each set of 2 pieces so that when I cut them apart into 4 pieces they would each have a half moon piece cut out that would wrap around the leveling pin that was still fixed on the cabinet. And finally the last step before, for what would now act as spacers, cutting the wood into the four equal parts I ran this wood through a table saw and ripped it down to 1 1/8". And it turned out perfect. The only thing I haven't written here are the curse words for Mr. Rude and the design idiots at Gladiator while I was retrofitting their "design flaw."
