Review by a beginning violinist...,

The sound is not as clear as I would like it be when blowing through it. This can be difficult for a beginning violinist who is trying to tune the instrument on his/her own.

Not durable, soft sounding,

The E note went very flat after only a few months of (ab)use by my six-year-old daughter. Granted, she blows the notes a little too hard, but that's because the 4 notes sound very soft and fuzzy, especially the D and the E. I suspect there are better pitch pipes out there.

Good product. Does what I need it to do. It's small and compact so it fits in my violin case with no problem.
