18-year old Rose Kemp is the antithesis of the made-for-TV pop-star, a young artist who's not only a superb singer, but who also writes original material that combines pop sensibility with intelligence and lyrical depth. Glance is an album of many shades. Rose Kemp (*11 December 1984) is an English singer and guitarist from Carlisle. Her roots are in folk music. By now she mixes folk music with doom, drone, and stoner rock.
Rose's parents are Maddy Prior and Rick Kemp of the folk-rock band Steeleye Span. She began her singing career performing live with Steeleye Span while still in her teenage years. This led to her being invited to contribute vocals to several albums by various folk artists.
