Product Description

Esky -- Electronics Sky

Esky Eye-001 Visor is a revolution in lens technology which dramatically reduces glare and protects the eyes from damaging rays of the sun while providing the clearest, cleanest, sharpest color from all outdoors. The amazing patented lenses provide protection from UVA, UVB and other damaging rays of the sun and protects the delicate skin around your eyes to help prevent wrinkles and premature aging.

Features:
- It can reduce glare, mirror-like effects and reflections to a minimum.
- The gray side cuts down on overall brightness without distorting colors. The darker shade is intended primarily to cut through the glare and reduce eyestrain in moderate-to-bright conditions like driving under sunlight.
- The yellow lens provides less overall brightness protection, but excel in moderate-to-low level light conditions. It provides excellent depth perception, and also enhances contrasts in tricky, flat-light conditions, which makes it perfect for driving at night, in snowy and cloudy days.

Packing List:
- 1 x Esky anti-glare Visor
- 1 x Lint-free Cloth
- 1 x Manual Instruction

Note:
- This Car Sun Visor is suitable for persons with a stature above 5'5".

Sturdy construction of hard plastic. Easy to install. Big enough to do the job without being cumbersome.
It has two anti-glare panels, 12.5” x 5” each, that fold away separately. A yellow panel for night driving that reduces glare from headlights, streetlights etc. and a grey panel that protects from harmful Ultraviolet (UV) and blue lights in sunlight. An instruction manual is included, which is easy to follow.

Smudges or dust can be cleaned with a soft cloth (included) or a dry chamois. For stubborn stains/soiling simply detach the panel and gently wash it with soapy water, rinse and dry with lint-free soft cloth. NEVER use a solvent or chemical cleanser.
May require a short period of getting accustomed to it - driver’s height, seat position etc.
Do NOT wear sunglasses when using the visor, may become too dark in some cases.

My wife and I tested the visor during daytime and night driving, over a period of one week and a couple of thousand miles of city and expressway driving, in moderate and heavy traffic.
The visor performed as advertised, even beyond our expectation. We plan to install a visor on all of our family’s cars.
It should be recommended to all drivers; could be a life-saver.

My mother has some trouble with her eyes, but still is ok to drive (she is older.) Bright lights at night bother her, as well as flashing type lights (like sometimes if a school bus with the strobe light is under a dark tunnel/underpass with her.) One of the roads near her which she uses daily, is very tree covered and windy. On sunny days in the summer, the dappling light through the leaves makes almost like a flashing type effect as you drive. It even bothers me. I was asked to review this and I knew exactly where I would give this visor its first test.

The visor works really well!!!! the yellow color helps with that flashing light greatly. And I live in a hilly area so sometimes during the year, you are driving up a hill and the setting sun is just like sitting there at the top (almost blinding you.) The smokey color greatly improves that effect. My nephew was injured (and his car totaled) once on an off ramp of a highway, where the drivers ahead of him were literally blinded by the sun and stopped completely. As did he, but unfortunately, the next car did not. So he sort of got accordioned. The smokey color of this would have fixed that!

It is simple to put on and stays put. It is sort of a clicking-clamp. I really like it!

Conventional sun visors are very useful, allowing users to block sunlight, but unfortunately they block the driver’s sight, potentially creating accidents. For this reason, manufacturers have created tools like the Esky Anti-Glare Sun Visor for vehicles.

▶ Package Contents
• Esky anti-glare Visor
• Lint-free Cloth
• Manual Instruction

▶ Hardware
The tool is fairly large, being 12.8 x 6.8 x 2.6 inches. The tool is completely made completely from plastic, starting from the base, which uses a “Toothed Shank” design to clip onto your conventional sun visor. I would have preferred a different method to clip onto my sun visor, such as the retractable rubber band method, as it secures the sun visor nicely. The current method for clipping isn’t as efficient. For more details on this, see testing section.

Attached to the base are two different Anti-glare sun visor panels, yellow for night use and gray for day use, giving you the opportunity to use either panel, both, or neither. This gives the user the best experience, whether it would be day, night, sunny, or rainy. Overall, I like the overall design of the tool, but feel the clip could have been made better.

▶ Set up
1. Pull tab and toothed shank on clip.
2. Place tool around your vehicle’s sun visor.
3. Secure clip safely.

▶ Testing
I tested this tool with my 2005 Honda Odyssey’s built in sun visor for three days. Placing this sun visor was mildly difficult, because the sun visor couldn’t completely secure around my vehicle’s sun visor. This caused the sun visor to fall at times when adjusting the panels. During this test, Esky’s sun visor fell two or three times, but only when adjusting the panels, never when the sun visor was in use.

I'm always misplacing my sunglasses, so I thought the Esky visor would be the solution for me. It turns out not to be the case. When installed as in the photo, the visor sits away from me. If I try to use the car's native visor, the mount hits the windshield. The car's visor is in a bad position if I don't push it forward, so I'm limited to using the Esky visor only.

I thought I could drive by looking through the visor, but it's very distracting having my eyes adjust between the shaded and unshaded area. So, I have to keep the visor above eye level. This means I'm using it like the car's sun visor but I don't get as much sun blockage.

I did not use the night shade at all, because I don't ever have any problems with glare at night. I figure it's better not to have anything that will affect my vision if I don't need it.

Taking the shade off, I see that it has marred the material on my car's visor, like it wore down the material. The plastic must rub when I'm driving.

I'm sorry to say this visor is not as useful as I thought it would be.
