First, this product DOES work for removing scratches from some plastic lens prescription glasses. It does not work on all scratches for all glasses.I had several pair of prescription glasses needing help, and had variable results. In some cases no improvement. But in others with lots of "steel wool" type scratches, the improvement was significant. I found that the process was very important: 1. Wash well with dish detergent (not handsoap) before applying the Armour Etch. 2. Dry a clean cloth. Even better is to use clean micro-fiber cloth. 3. Apply with Q-tip using a very light touch. Circular or dabbed application is OK. 4. After the 5 minute "soak" time, rinse off with cold running water. Hot water appeared to result in more clouding than cold. 5. Wash with diluted dish detergent (not handsoap) after rinsing off the Armor Etch. 6. Dry after every wash as in step two. As mentioned by other reviewers, you may have to apply 2-3 times to obtain a cloud-free result.
