I don't have the money to buy a very expensive set of shell and slate stones, so I purchased these. So far, I have been happy with them. They are a decent set of glass stones; they make a nice sound on the board and feel okay in the hand. I really enjoy go, but my husband doesn't. Of course you can use the set to play gomoku (connect 5) or othello.

I payed almost $10 more for my first set of Go stones from a local game shop and those didn't nearly have the quality that these do. These stones are all very uniform in shape in size, the white stones are polished to be slightly glossy while the black stones have a flat finish to them that makes them look like slate. They feel good in the hand and don't seem all that much different than some of my friends' deluxe stones. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for their first set of Go stones or someone who's looking for a set to take with them to friends' houses.

These are excellent. They have a good weight to them. The white stones are smooth and the black stones are matt.

Excellent value, glass stones are inexpensive and I think most people would find them quite satisfactory. Out of the 361 (no, I did not count them!) stones, only one was chipped badly. Some have tiny chips that you have to look closely to see. One thing I will say is that the kids like to rub them together... they make a scraping noise that is very annoying when your getting your butt kicked by your 9-year old. ;)

I am a wood worker by trade and make my own boards from scraps at work.

First of all I would like to say that I am probably biased in my opinion because this was the first Go set that I have ever purchased. I bought these stones for a board that I just recently purchased. The stones feel amazing and they are the perfect size and color!!!

I have not played with many sets, but these stones feel nice, have good weight, and appear durable. No chips or cracked stones in my batch.

Yup, bought these beautiful stones to use with my wooded GO board. The board orginally came with these plastic junk pieces...so had to look for some nice stones to match the board! I bought these and am very happy. I must buy more however, becase my cats have eatten many of them. Sigh! Anyway, buy these stones for your game GO board!

These go stones are first class for there price I will not say that other ones are better but all are more expensive.

Stones came without packaging of any kind: they were in a small cardboard box contained by a larger cardboard box with no plastic, no padding, nothing. Naturally, they broke out of the smaller box and were simply flying around loose inside of the large box.

When I recieved them, 25 of the stones were broken. Glass stones are good, but get them from someone else.
