GLASS HARP JAM!!!! I always loved this group. It's like Jimi Hendrix meets the Beatles to me. I love to see all the footage. Even though the sound/video has faults in parts, These are home movies I'm so happy to be able to see. How many bands have DVD's of rare TV shows you can watch on the market? I love this DVD with all it's flaws and all. I also believe there is a God. That Phil is religious is OK by me. He's a very talented guitar player too.

The main performance was never really contemplated for release at the time so not sure the sourcing or the technology. It's not what you'd get now but this was 1972 and we're lucky to have it.
The show is perhaps a little more laid back than they could be but it's wonderful music. Get it from the band for a lot less than what I'm seeing here... glassharp dot net.

Probably All We'll Ever Get...,

This DVD consists of a Public Television(WVIZ-Cleveland) broadcast from 1972 which was simulcast on local FM radio(WMMS). What is most likely an invited crowd of approximately 30 people sits on the floor of the TV studio for what was a very good performance of this band out of Youngstown, Ohio.
While the picture is more than acceptable, the sound leaves quite a bit to be desired. The menu gives you a choice between a "Hot Audio Mix" and a standard mix. Both have their problems. Volume levels vary quite a bit, some of this due to partial drop-outs in the tape, but perhaps partially due to miking and improper recording levels. The extras include home movies of about 25 minutes showing the band on their first cross-country trip to California, and their journey up the coast with beach and restaurant stops along the way. Since the voice-over for this was obviously added at some later date, this audio is fine and makes it worth watching once, though the audio is synced just a split-second ahead of the video. The other extras consist of out-takes which are mainly a collage of partial performances with even worse or non-existent sound, and some interviews at least partially redundant with the ones between some songs in the main feature. This part is not really even worth watching once. While not a great DVD, this is all we probably will ever see of this band, so take it or leave it. Not sure I'll keep it, but it was good to see this legendary band perform, having not had the privilege previously.
