I wanted this movie to show my grandson what prison life could be like and maybe "scare him straight". I remembered it from a long time ago and was glad to find it on Amazon. The only problem was the tape is pretty worn and the first 1/3 of the movie the picture kept rolling so we didn't get a good image. Once it settled down it was okay. I didn't think it would be worth sending it back or making a fuss over it but it was listed in "good" condition so I didn't expect it to roll like that.

Glass House with Alan Alda, Vic Morrow, and Billie Dee Williams,
A Kid's Review

Having the degree in Corrections and the work experience to back it up: This is the most realistic portrayal of Prison Life made in its' time. It is next to impossible to "do your own time". Gives excellent vision of what it is like to be a new officer in the "Joint" also. Should definitely be "R" rated.

Tight prison movie that shows how innocents is lost in the system. Vic Morrow is good as the BOSS and Alda as the man who bucks the prisoners' way of life. Very tense and well deserves the Golden Globe Nomination for Best TVM in 1973.
