Glass materials development and production are examined from a fundamental science point of view. Researchers representing the fields of physics, mechanical engineering, and chemistry explore glass production phenomena, such as crack behavior, blisters and other micro-defects, and discuss theories and models that suggest methods of controlling these production problems.
