Glassblowing is one of the more difficult techniques of glass-making, because it requires strength and precision. Timing is very important and once the glass has been shaped, it can be decorated using various finishing techniques. Our glass pieces are handcrafted and made of high quality. This wonderful art glass quartz clock sommerso sculpture measures approximately 7.5'' tall x 4'' wide. Sommerso- a stunning technique where the individual colors are overlapping each other in different layers, framed with the clear crystal glass. The layers of colors in this sculpture are red and blue. The bottom of this piece is polished flat to stand beautifully.

Very beautifull piece. Clock is held in nice and tight with a rubber band around it. So be carfull when pulling it out. I used my nails and slowly did it to set the clock. All and all I would recomend this pice for one who has eveything but still needs a nice pice to accent other items. Very well crafted.

Item was very heavy. Base was straight and it stands well. Colors were vibrant. I just didn't like that there were visible "bubbles" in the glass. My husband didn't they were a big deal so maybe I'm just too picky. :)

Very Pretty Art Glass Clock,

This art glass clock is a striking and unique piece to add to your art glass collection. My only complaint is the lack of instructions on how to remove your clock from the glass and set the clock. I tried pulling the time piece out of it's inset in the glass with my nails to no avail, then I very carefully and gently pried it out and then removed the rubber band from around the time piece. The clock has a stem on it just like a watch and once you remove the plastic piece from under the stem and push it in the time will start and you can set the time by pulling the stem out and turning it just like with a watch too.
