I'm sorry I bought this book. I wish I could return it to the supermarket where I got it from but I can't find the receipt. This was not grabbing my attention at all. I will be selling this one.

a rushed random ending...,

At first I thought the story was cute, but as I began to read more. I started to dislike this book at the very end. Some parts seemed very rushed while other parts seem to need more detail. I felt as if the author put to many things in this book without taking time to address them right. Leaving it with a rushed random ending .

I'm a huge Dara fan but really didn't expect to enjoy this book because of the reviews that were written. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was wrong. Izzy was so identifiable that I saw myself in her as the pages turned. I found Alex to be a little unnerving. There were too many questions I had that were never answered. I felt that Ms. Girard should have dug deeper. She let us, as the reader, know that there was more to him than what met the eye, but she never really showed us the real Alex... at least not enough. She there were glimpses of him but we never got to SEE HIM. Even at the end I was still trying to figure out who he was (I feel like I got a better understanding of Alex in his small appearance in Taming Mariella than I did in this whole book). Another thing about this book that bothered me was that it seemed as if the author was anxious to finish. The further and further we got into the book the less and less we found out. I felt that she brushed over vital information.
With all of that said, this was a strong story. I found myself hating some people and loving others; rooting for one person while praying for another's downfall. I found Tony and Gabby's story endearing. I honestly wish they had their own story or at least when everything came together we got to see it all play out... As I write my review I realize that I must lower my review from the 4 stars I was originally going to give it to three. It's a really great story; it just had too many issues that I felt could have made this book spectacular. I enjoyed the spin on the classic fairytale and I almost wish the other sisters stories were somehow fairytale related. I can't wait for Daniella's story!

I am only giving this book a four and not a five because of the ending, that is my one and only complaint. I loved everything about the book. The characters (there are many personalities) and their issues kept me entwined in the storyline. This is a wonderful story, the sequel to the book is called Taming Mariella and it is also great. Hopefully there will be a third in this series, looking forward to it.
