Nick you have done a fantastic job on writing this book. It appeals to both the new taster and the seasoned wine connoisseur. I highly recommend this book to anyone that is interested in learning more and matching wines with your meals. You will read this book in one setting and have a great amount of wine knowledge afterwards. I got it on my Kindle and it was well worth it. Great job Nick! Remmeber... be a servant - Cory

Wow! Talk about a nice surprise! All I know about wine is that I love to drink it. I've read other books about the topic and nothing even comes close to how I felt while reading this one. Absolutely love the author's style and sense of humor. No wine snob here even though he obviously knows a lot about the topic. I feel like I've learned more by reading this book than I have listening to other wine "experts" over the years. Very well done and highly recommend it.

-I absolutely loved reading this book. It was a quick and easy read and I literally laughed out loud at many points while reading. I am somewhat new to wine drinking and I learned so much about how to recognize if I will like the wine or not based on all of each bottle's unique qualities. I feel so much more prepared to order wine on a night out, rather than always looking to someone else to know more about the wine selection! I would definitely recommend this book to someone who wants to learn more about wine in a fun, light-heartened way.

I consider myself a wine drinker but not really a wine connoisseur. I have to admit that the title of the book really hits home because after I hard days work, I pretty much look for any glass or cup that is clean and have some red wine.

The title drew me to the book as well as all the great reviews saying that the book is a fun read. The author definitely has a good sense of humor. I found myself laughing out loud more than once.

But the book is more than just one liners. Nicholas does a great job incorporating some good facts about wine in the book that any wine drinker should appreciate. He also mixes in some fun facts that are nice to whip out when you are around your friends and maybe have had a few too many...

- The current record for the largest bottle of wine, 1850 liters and over 15 feet tall...WTH

This book is perfect for a wine drinking beginner and for those that already have a decent knowledge of wine. It's maybe not for those that take wine WAY too seriously (believe me, I know a few of these people). The book is light, fun and informative. I definitely would and will recommended this book to many of my friends.

I have been enjoying a glass of wine with dinner for many years but never bothered to learn anything about wine including which one to drink with what. This book answered any questions I ever had about wine. Where they come from, what is on the label and how to understand it, differences between red, white, etc. Great book, if you ever wanted to know the basics about wine. You will be amazed at the info and you will enjoy your glass of wine even more. Includes some humorous antidotes and fun ideas and info about wine. Get the book, read it, enjoy your wine even more.

This is exactly what I've been looking for! I've been a wine drinker for about 6 or 7 years and have never really known much other than red, white, heavy or not. I was a bit of a wine dummy. Got tired of trying to fake knowing what I was talking about and found this awesome resource! Now I have a better understanding and can determine which wine to ask for, etc. Nicholas did an excellent job of writing and the bok flowed smoothly, just like a nice bottle of wine should! Highly recommend.

This is a great book that quickly gets to the most pertinent questions about all things "wine". The Kindle version had a very robust nose with hints of vanilla, strawberry and oak, while the finish was light and crisp with a delightful whisper of chocolate. Loved the humor and practicality of what is typically a very stuffy/snobby topic. Read this book before your next dinner party or group outing!

I really enjoyed this book.I laughed at the authors quick wit. I also learned a lot about wine. I adore a good glass of wine, but am very fond of a particular type of white wine, Sauvignon Blanc. It was interesting that the same grape in France is called something different,Semillion. Lucky me, if I am ever in France, I will know what to ask for. Just joking, I will know what French white wine that I will like is called when I go to the wine shop or our favorite little French restaurant.

Red wine is not my favorite but I learned enough to make a positive decision when purchasing a red wine for a dinner party. I also learned about wine glasses. Now I will know which ones to use to serve my guests.

Anyone who likes wine and enjoys a fun read should buy this book immediately.
