Artisan Info: Leonor Ponce Velasco (Lima, 1945) is a woman dedicated to handicrafts made of stained glass. Her creativity has given life to a rainbow made of polychrome butterflies. "I've been working with stained glass for about 18 years and, despite the specialty courses I've attended, I'm a self-taught artist, continually learning in the school of my workshop. My art is motivated by the love I have for beauty expressed in delicate forms and colors, and through my creations I find spiritual peace and balance. "For my work I use 3 mm glass pieces, copper foil and solder, and the usual tools of an artisan: emery, wire cutters and pincers. My work starts with a sketch of the design on paper, making
