Product Description

As with all transitional lenses they will not go from totally clear to super dark. Most transitions will cover a shorter spectrum either going from completely clear to medium shade, slightly clear to medium dark, or medium shade to very dark. Since we were making these as safety glasses the best range for safety work was from almost clear to medium shade dark, enough to take the edge off of bright sun yet be more than clear enough for indoor work.

Keep in mind transitional lenses react to UV to auto darken. The windshield of a car has a UV filter and blocks UV. Therefore the glasses will not work behind a windshield or windscreen where UV is being blocked.

Since Transitional lenses work on a biological process, extreme heat can diminish the transitional effect of all transitions type eyewear. In most cases freezing the glasses can re-activate the glasses.

Seamless transition indoor to outside and back, no reason to ever remove vision wise. However, I do experience some discomfort after 8+ hours of wearing. Other than that I love these glasses.

GREAT SUNGLASSES AND THEY`RE ALSO SAFETY GLASSES AS WELL.
THESE ARE BETTER THAN THE EXPENSIVE PAIR OF SERENGETTI SUNGLASSES I ACCIDENTALLY DROPPED AND SHATTERED ONE OF THE LENSES OF. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO AUTOMATICALLY CHANGE COLOR TOO, BUT I COULD NEVER TELL THE DIFFERENCE. THESE REALLY DO LIGHTEN AND DARKEN WITH CHANGING CONDITIONS. AND THEY COME WITH A CASE, A DETAIL NOT ADVERTISED IN THE AD.I`M A TRUCKER,SO SUNGLASSES ARE IMPORTANT TO ME.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE. I MAY EVEN BUY A SECOND PAIR FOR DOING MY LAWN MOWING WITH.

I have had these for about 1.5 years now and I have received many good compliments while wearing them. One thing that I would like to point out to any potential buyer is that most windshields today have a UV filter. Thus, the glasses won't darken when you are driving inside a car or truck. Unless you drive with your head sticking out the window. Other than that, they are pretty comfortable, they darken/lighten quickly and could even be worn at night while driving if you wanted to.
