Seamless transition indoor to outside and back, no reason to ever remove vision wise. However, I do experience some discomfort after 8+ hours of wearing. Other than that I love these glasses.

SAFETY SUNGLASSES,

GREAT SUNGLASSES AND THEY`RE ALSO SAFETY GLASSES AS WELL.THESE ARE BETTER THAN THE EXPENSIVE PAIR OF SERENGETTI SUNGLASSES I ACCIDENTALLY DROPPED AND SHATTERED ONE OF THE LENSES OF. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO AUTOMATICALLY CHANGE COLOR TOO, BUT I COULD NEVER TELL THE DIFFERENCE. THESE REALLY DO LIGHTEN AND DARKEN WITH CHANGING CONDITIONS. AND THEY COME WITH A CASE, A DETAIL NOT ADVERTISED IN THE AD.I`M A TRUCKER,SO SUNGLASSES ARE IMPORTANT TO ME.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE. I MAY EVEN BUY A SECOND PAIR FOR DOING MY LAWN MOWING WITH.

I have had these for about 1.5 years now and I have received many good compliments while wearing them. One thing that I would like to point out to any potential buyer is that most windshields today have a UV filter. Thus, the glasses won't darken when you are driving inside a car or truck. Unless you drive with your head sticking out the window. Other than that, they are pretty comfortable, they darken/lighten quickly and could even be worn at night while driving if you wanted to.

Extremely Comfortable,

If you are considering spending the bit extra on some working glasses, regardless of whether you work outdoors or not (for the transitional feature), do so, you won't regret it. I've only had these glasses for a few weeks now, but they are extremely sturdy and even more comfortable. I wear them about 8 hours a day and can't tell much difference between the feel of these and my reading glasses, beyond the obvious weight inherent in safety glasses. Also, they are great for using while riding my motorcycle (no UV glass to worry about), as they almost never fog up like my visor usually does. I can't speak to the durability of the glasses as of yet, but they feel very sturdy and I expect them to last at least enough time to qualify for the few extra bucks they cost.

Stopped Darkening,

This review is from: Safety Glasses Expo V Photochromic UV400 Eyewear Transitional lenses Polished Gunmetal Frame (Misc.)
I purchased these about 7 months ago, and was initially very happy with them. They're stylish and they performed well; I got a lot of compliments on them. While they don't darken as much as some sunglasses, they were significantly better than constantly switching between clear and tinted safety glasses. Very recently however they stopped darkening entirely. I can be outside in direct sunlight for hours without any change in tint to the lenses. Each lense is separate from the other so for them both to fail at the exact same time suggests they are sensitive to something in the environment. The only thing I can figure is that they were damaged by sitting in my truck now that the weather is heating up. If that's true, it certainly would've been nice if they'd come with a warning or a notice. I regularly work in areas over 100 degrees, it makes me wonder if even that might damage them? Seems like a shame to have a $40 pair of safety glasses last only a few months. So, beware not too let them get to hot, I guess! I will buy another pair because I was so pleased when they worked, and I'll treat them more carefully, but I sure hope they last longer. $80 a year is a lot to spend on safety glasses. *** UPDATE: *** My new pair performs considerably worse than my first pair. They only darken very slightly. When comparing the new and old damaged pair, I noticed the damaged lenses had a fixed yellowish tint. I did try refrigerating both pairs overnight and neither saw any improvement whatsoever. I changed my review to 1 star because of the poor performance out of both pairs. I won't be buying this model again.

I like these safety glasses more than any other cheap $10 pair I've had, but for the money I expected more.Pros: Comfortable Not heavy for a metal frame Strong frame that stays square after taking abuse Good clarity in the beginning Cons: The darkening of the photochromic lens is enough to take the edge off, but really doesn't get that dark and just doesn't cut it. The lenses were clear when I received them, but over the past 2.5 months they have gradually taken on a weird yellow color. This doesn't seem to effect the darkened state, but it is no longer comfortable to wear them in low light as it is a little bit difficult to see. Scratches easier than I would like

I had been looking all over the internet for these and Amazon came through for me. The supplier that I was getting these from (under a different name) is no longer carring this style of safety glasses. These are worn as a safety glasses and also as sunglasses. They are perfect for a person who does not have time to switch between either one. I just hope that these will continue to be around for purchase for a very long time. As long as Amazon keeps them available I will be a repeat customer. LOVE THEM!!

Works as Described!,

I wear these as my primary safety glasses everyday, the metal frame is durable and flexes to fit my rounded face shape. The photochromic goes from an almost clear to medium grey shade which is just dark enough to stop my squinting when I move to outdoor work. There is a new photochromic safety glass out that does go darker, and is a high contrast yellow in its lightened state. NEW! REACTOR - Photochromic UV400 Safety Z87.1 Compliant - Transitions From High Contrast Yellow to Dark GreenI think if someone wants a darker shade and likes the yellow tint for low light, these might be the answer as they go from that high contrast yellow to a dark green for sunny days.

Never have I spent so much on a pair of sunglasses....but they are worth every penny I paid. I am a truck driver and have went thru alot of sunglasses. I always bought a lot darker glasses but these do the job of blocking sun and are comfortable. I put these on at sunrise and usually forget I have them on till I quit for the day. Can not beleave how comfortable they are. I can go from the outside into a building with out having to take them off. Hopefully I will never have to buy another pair, but if I do, I will buy another pair of these.
