Unfortunately out of print, it is well worth the effort to acquire a second hand copy. It is a complete history of the area around Glastonbury - what can be ascertained from Medieval authors and antiquarians. It deals with the mythical Glastonbury and its connection to Arthur in a way that is respectable but rooted in what can be known. Talks about Gildas, Gerard of Wales, Walter Map, John of Glastonbury, Alfred the Great, Joseph of Arimathea, Wearyall Hill, the Tor, the Abbey of Glastonbury, Gwynn ab Nudd, Arthur, the Chalice Well, dissolution of the monasteries, Leland, in short anything to do with Glastonbury. You could safely cite this book in an essay but it is written for a wider audience than academics. Contains lots of illustrations, photos, and even a timeline.
Forget about all the blogs and websites on Glastonbury, this book has just about everything you want to know about Glastonbury. You just can't replace having a good book on the subject.
