Good for the high school student [or even a primary school student] encountering algebra for the first time. The text explains the abstractions in the algebraic notation. A vital step up from doing simple arithmetic. Granted, the narrative seems a trifle laboured. And it may also seem so to you, if you already possess an aptitude or interest in maths. But the book is aimed squarely at the average and below average reader. The leisurely and prolonged use of examples is needed for such an audience.

If you are anyone looking to brush up on your math skills I recommend this book. Yes, if you are looking to keep your mind sharp math books are the way to go. There is nothing more to keep you on your toes by exercising your mind with mathematical problems. The older we get the less we use our minds. Some people say good mental exercise will keep you young. So whether you are a teenager, young adult, or are getting up there in years, these books are for you.

I found the book very comprehensive and easy to understand with an appropriate number of practice problems, quizzes and tests. I highly recommend it.

When I searched for the Algebra 2 book, it showed the correct book (front cover has the St. Louis arch on it). I selected it, but when delivered, it was a different Algebra book. When I noticed the difference, I went back and retraced my steps, and sure enough, it is the wrong version of Algebra 2. You should be more careful how your system works.
