Biography

Glenn Miller (full name Alton Glenn Miller) was born March 1, 1904, in Clarinda, Iowa. His parents moved to Nebraska, Missouri and Colorado before Glenn graduated from high school, which he did in Fort Morgan, Colo., in 1921. Miller attended the University of Colorado for a time but dropped out to become a professional musician.

Tremendous recordings on this cd. Some of these songs are quite rare and difficult to find. Many critics say that his Army Air Force Band produced some of his best music. This collection is an absolute bargain, and not to be missed by Miller fans.

I've been researching the big band sound from the 40's and came across this rare little album. What makes it special is that it features sounds from the Army Air Corps. It's a great march back through the big band era around WWII. I really enjoyed listening to this CD!
