This steadicam is made from durable materials, easy to hold and use.
Miklos GOITEIN
It will move around slightly but as soon as it hits a rouch part in the gimbal it just sticks like glue.

I tried to get it to balance for 2 days spending several hours and could not get it to balance.

This Steadicam for the price can't be beat. I'm still working on getting the finer points of the balance down but literally shot the video shown here within 15 minutes of opening the package and initial balancing of my Panisonic video camera to the Steadicam. The package came with everything secure inside and a color instruction manual on basic setup, body positioning, as well as how to do advanced techniques such as various types of Panning, Booming and Zooming. There is definitely a learning curve, but with some practice I can see how you can begin to get the hang of using the device. I couldn't find a better made product (it has a nice professional look to it) for this price and I searched everywhere. I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on something I wouldn't be using every day. It wasn't as heavy as I imagined it would be from the pictures which is good so that you don't become fatigued to quickly from holding it. The manual also talks about a body harness that was made for the device which can make the job effortless, but I could not find it here on Amazon or the website mentioned in the manual. Maybe it will show up later. The video attached here is split into a top and bottom screen. The top screen is my video camera WITHOUT the Glide Gear Syl-3000 and the bottom video is WITH the Glide Gear Syl-3000.

I guess, this is one of those models like Lensse or Hague stabilizers. However, all of them, as far as I made a research, suffer with the same problem of swaying. Did you see first reviewer's video? That's about it. I tried to stabilize it by adding washers on middle of "bow". It helped to stop the bar from spinning around the handle when you move it left-right. That was the easy part. I never could stop video sway completely.
I should mention, that I own Sony a560 with Sigma 18-200 Lens, and since in this Stabilizer description DSLR is mentioned, I hoped to get effect of gliding for less price. So, I did not plan to return it but make it work by any cause. The construction of gimbal is awful. The bed bearing was not round but rather had a step inside. The bearing itself is not round shaped also. The top part of bearing which connected to handle is grind off. When you apply a pressure (with your camera on the top) on the bearing it lines up with the step inside the bed. This type of construction prevents from smooth operation when you move the handle. Besides, the bed and bearing were painted with black paint which added an extra friction. The bearing feels loose inside the bed. The bearing bed connects to the bolt and can spin on it, what allows to hold the handle as vertical as horizontal. However, bed connector spins on bolt thread, what is just ridiculous. You can't build moving part on bolt thread. This kind of construction adding more friction which does not let return your camera back in horizontal position completely after your first turn when you walking. So, your video becomes crooked. There was a vertical tremor, when I was walking. Perhaps, it was because of more heavy camera than camera of first reviewer.
What did I tried.

As a professional photographer I have spent a lot of money on accessories. When I travel I take a Lumix GH2 and a selection of lenses. The GH2 is also great for video.
This stabilizer means no more bumpy amateur looking video. The build quality looks great, the instructions are in (amazing!) English! It took no time to set up and the results were great right away.
After spending a $100 on things like white balance accesories and flash modifiers this seems like an incredible bargain based on how much it improves the final product. My GH2, ipad and this device means I have great travel videos before I even get home!

Noone reviewed this item, but I found good review for it on ebay from many people who bought this item, so I decided to take a chance and try it out. So far, I got what I expected.

I tried to download the unboxing to amazon, but it just takes too long. If you will go to my you tube channel (just type my stupid screenname: aubie0071971 ), you can see the unboxing video and test footage I put together in 30 minutes. I can't really give a good review just yet because I just got it, but, so far, would say it is made out of durable parts.

pros: 1- $78 ( it was almost half the price of the other cheapest one)
2_ durable, corrosion resistant material
3- plenty of weight for my t3i with kit lense and looks like it could handle more
4-compact and easy to hold/handle design

cons: 1-just shipped loosely in a box. (see my video)
2-no instructions (this might actually be a pro)

I'll put up some comments as a learn more. I hope this helps you. If you are like me, shaky video footage ruins the video.

If your looking for a great Camera Stabilizer kit, Glide Gear SYL3000 Elite Camera Stabilizer Kit is the one for you! I was very excited and impressed with this kit. It was truly perfect! The size and weight was excellent, and just what I was needing. I just love the fact that it is Non-Rust stainless steel and aluminum. This kit was very durable, and well made. It is a long lasting kit for any person! It came very well packaged, making me sure that it was safe for delivery. This was very classy and nice looking, looked very professional. Be sure to note, the Camera is NOT Included. I received this at a discounted price for my honest opinion.
