Excellent flight instruction book,

Tom Knauff is acknowledged as leading instructor and has written a very good book. It leads you through an entire flight training plan to solo with an emphasis on safety and decision making. However, it is meant to be used in conjuction with your actual flight training so be sure to discuss using this book with your flight instructor. There is an updated (1995?) edition.

If you only buy one book, to help you get started with Soaring and Gliding, This is the One ! Very easy to read and understand. Great details for someone who has no experience or knowledge.
