I shopped and shopped and shopped and ended up with this rocker and ottomon. So far so good. The chair was VERY easy to assemble and the ottomon comes assembled. Is very stable and doesn't creak or pop at all. The back cushion was the most comfortable out there as far as plushness and height (I can lay my head back on it and am 5'5"). Wide seat. Very thick bottom cushion that was softer in the store but I think that is because of so many people sitting on it. You will not feel the wood underneath the cushion!!! Looks great in my living room!!! I sat in the cheaper models and could not sell myself short. Even my 6-year old fell in love with this model. THIS CHAIR IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!

I WAS VERY SKEPTICAL ABOUT ORDERING AN ITEM LIKE THIS ONLINE W/OUT TRYING IT OUT FIRST BUT I WAS PLEASANTLY SUPRISED. THE PROBLEM I HAD WHEN LOOKING IN STORES FOR A GLIDER WAS THAT EVERYTHING I SAW WAS INCREDIBLY CHEAP AND UGLY OR INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE ($600+) I LOOKED ONLINE AT SEVERAL DIFFERENT SITES FOR QUITE AWHILE AND DID NOT FIND ANYTHING I FELL IN LOVE WITH AS MUCH AS THIS GLIDER. I WAS ORIGINALLY HOPING TO GET A GLIDER AND OTTOMAN FOR $300 OR LESS AND WITH TAX, S/H I SPENT ABOUT $400 FOR THE GLIDER AND THE MATCHING OTTOMAN BUT IT WAS WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY! IT IS EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL IN PERSON THAN IT IS ON THE WEBSITE. THE FABRIC IS THICK, SOFT AND PLUSH, IT IS VERY ROOMY AND THE CUSHIONING ON THE ARMS FASTENS SECURELY TO THE CHAIR SO IT DOESN'T ROLL AROUND.THE MAGAZINE HOLDERS ON BOTH SIDES ARE VERY HANDY. THE ITEM SHIPPED PROMPTLY WITH ALL THE PIECES INTACT AND WAS EASY TO ASSEMBLE, EVEN FOR MY HUSBAND AND MYSELF WHO ARE NOT AT ALL HANDY. NOW MY ONLY PROBLEM WITH THIS GLIDER IS THAT I CAN'T GET MY HUSBAND OUT OF IT SO I CAN SIT IN IT :) -HE LOVES IT AS MUCH AS I DO, I CAN'T WAIT TO TRY IT OUT WHEN OUR BABY COMES. I CAN'T SEE HOW ANYONE WHO ORDERS THIS ITEM COULD BE DISAPPOINTED AT ALL. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS A VERY PLESANT ONE, I WOULD DEFINETLY ORDER FROM BABIES R US AGAIN!

I added this glider to my baby registry based on the review I read on amazon. I am so glad that I did. It was so easy to put together and is very comfortable. There's no creaking when gliding back and forth which is surprising since i'm still 9 months pregnant. The fabric covering the cushions is so soft which just adds to the relaxing experience of sitting in this chair. I highly recommend this glider.

I ordered this glider with ottoman this past Sunday March 20th 2005 & of course I was like a 2 year old waiting for Santa to arrive with gifts. The unit arrived in 3 DAYS!!! We are in Texas, and I couldn't believe the speed in which I got the chair. The ottoman should arrive tomorrow (it ships from a diffent warehouse than the chair unit). I am tall for a woman, 5'9" & this an extremely comfortable place for me to relax - all of the day's stress melts away... Note: I am 8 3/4 months pregnant(or 1 week to go till my due date) & was willing for my husband to put the chair together, but I did it all - & get this - within 10 min tops!!! (I don't have an engineering degree...). I sat on the floor for the entire assembly.

Tried this glider in the store on several occasions, but after purchasing it and sitting in it for any length of time, it hurts my back (and my hubby's, too.) The wood looks a little cheap and the bottom foam cushion has an indention from our backsides already (only had it two weeks). Better than most of the less expensive gliders, but if you're willing to spend this much (especially after adding the price of the ottoman, shipping, tax, etc.) consider investing in a better chair; I now wish I would have. On the positive side, it is light and was very easy to assemble. We're not totally disappointed, but not totally thrilled, either.

I bought this chair a couple of weeks ago and absolutley love it! I went to a couple of different stores to test gliders out and this one was by far the best especially for the price. All of the other ones were either way too cheap (made noise when rocking or had absolutley no cushioning at all) or were way too expensive-$400 on up. I especially liked this one also because the seat is nice and wide for us folks with more cushioning on our backsides. This chair is very comfortable and I can easily relax in it. It was also very easy to put together even at 7 months pregnant. I would highly recommend this chair-and ottoman also.

my mom recently bought this glider and i love it!!!its my first baby and my moms first grandchild. not only is this a great product but purchasing it from amazon made it a great experience...I highly recommend this to any moms to be.

I love the way this looks and it was great at first. There was damage on the base but we called the 1-800 number and they sent a new one (however it took about 6 weeks so we ended up puting it together w/the scratched one). It is very attractive and sturdy enough, plus the microfiber is easy to clean for the inevitable milk spills - the reason I'm giving it a low rating is the seat cushion. It went flat where you sit within a month. I am not huge or anything - to give you an idea, I was using it w/a newborn and I am about 133 lbs. I have not called to get a replacement but even if they send one I'm sure it'll go flat again. Although I'm not using it quite as much now that my son is a little older.

I bought this at the babies r us store. I sat in several gliders to test comfort. The "spaure" back cushion (in comparison to the "butterfly" style" or rounder style) was much more comfortable on my back up at the shoulder level. I chose this pine glider for that very reason (the square back cushion). When I got the glider home and opened the box, the cushion was not what it was supposed to be. It was the butterfly style. Plus it was damaged in packaging. It was deformed from being squished into the box. The assembly instructions say in big red letters "Do not return this item to the store" and gives a 1-800 #. When I called to see if I could have the correct cushion sent to me, I was told that I couldn't. What the heck??? I paid over $200 and they can't even give me the correct cushion. Now I will have to see if babies r us can do anything for me. The only thing good aobut this chair is that it truely is easy to put together. The snaps that hold the arm rest to the chair are cheap and rip out if you try to remove the arm rest after snapping it on. So make sure you don't ever try to remove it. That stinks incase you need to take them off to clean or for moving houses. I can say I'm 30%satisfied with this chair. Oh and the bottom cushion at the store was soft, the one that came w/ the chair, not soo smooshy. Kinda like sitting on a stiff cushion.

I picked this chair because while I wanted a decent chair that would last, I did not want to spend the $600+ for the other nicer brands out there. The chair is sturdy, the cushions are comfortable and the wood looks nice and matches the storkcraft cognac crib and changing table that I have. My only complaint is the height (or lack of) of the back of the chair. I am 5'5" and can lay my head back on the cushion, but my 6'4" husband can't - the chair back is way too short for him. And we know from our 1st child that this is an important feature when you're up all hours of the night! However, we didn't think this was a big enough problem to return the chair so we're going to make it work. It arrived within a week of when I ordered it, in perfect condition and it was easy to assemble (ottoman was assembled as other reviewer mentioned). Overall, we are satisfied with what we got for the money we spent.
