Product Description

Size: 12 Pack

8 inch foam glider plane. Assorted styles. Individually packaged. Easy to assemble. These styrofoam flying gliders definitely have the right stuff, requiring very little assembly while providing lots of fun. Just attach the body to the wings and let it fly.

OK everyone, let's start out with a reality check. Excluding shipping, these planes come in at a price of about 20-25 cents each. The bottom line is, you get what you pay for. If you want a great hobby-type plane for your kids, etc., then be prepared to shell out 4-7 dollars each.

That being said, I purchased these for my Cub Scout Den. We were working on flying, aerodynamics, and the four forces involved in flying (thrust/drag, lift/gravity). After the "lesson", I passed out the airplanes to the Scouts, had them assemble the planes, then had a contest to see who could fly furthest. The Scouts LOVED the activity, they actually learned something, and it cost me less than $8.00 (I bought 24 planes) in total.

If you want to be critical of these 25 cent planes, then I'm guessing nothing will make you happy.

We gave these planes out as in gift bags at my 6 year old's birthday party (24 kids in his class, so 2 packs worked out perfectly). The kids were excited to get them. The plane flies nearly as well as the old-school balsa-wood gliders, but is much cheaper. However, it is made out of foam, so it is fragile if stepped on, etc. My 6 year old had no problem putting it together himself.

One nice feature is that the control surfaces are perforated, so you can make the plane fly spirals, loops, etc, by bending the control surfaces as needed.

These little planes have pretty good detail for being made out of foam. They arrived grouped in 12 and rubberbanded. I was surprised they had plastic propellers. Each plane needs to be assembled and it comes in an actual paper envelope that has nice artwork of the real plane. Actually, the packaging is way better than the toy! All in all it is an excellent goodie bag filler and boys and girls at my son's party really liked them. I don't think they're very durable for smaller kids either. The planes wings can bend easily causing them to snap and break.

I bought a bunch of these for my son's 5th birthday party and they were a hit. Who cares if they break, just order extras! The kids really enjoyed them (and they weren't too hard to put together).

These are cute little glider planes, perfect for a favor at a children's party and well worth the less than $4 for a dozen.

They broke by the very first uses. The toys for small kids should be made out of a durable material.

I have no problem with the fact that these are cheaply made foam planes, that is what I expected to get. I knew they wouldn't last for long time use but would look great as party favors at my sons birthday party. What I did not like:
One of the planes was glued to the paper packaging. There was no way to not rip the plane, so right away one was broken.
One of the planes did not come with enough pieces to assemble it, so its just extra parts I guess.
Now as you can see I am down to ten planes instead of twelve. I also want to add I did not get an assortment as the photo shows, I only got two styles of planes.
So I would not order them again, however they did ship and arrive fast for what that matters.

Listen, I'm not gonna return this item, because I shoulda knows how cheap they were gonna be. But, I can tell you, if you expect anything that might work or fly even a little bit... i would like somewhere else. Remember... you get what you pay for. And these things... are worth about a buck.
