2008 two CD set, a comprehensive collection that spotlights the enormously influential solo career of the British Electro-Pop pioneer and former vocalist with Ultravox. Glimmer contains hits, album tracks and a few rarities. Originally a child intellectual, John Foxx subsequently joined the Royal College of Art before forming legendary outfit Ultravox. After three albums he went solo in 1979 forming his own label (Metal Beat) for the purpose. He continues to work in the arts to this day. The tracks on Glimmer have been selected by John Foxx himself, who also penned the liner notes. Music Club.

what a wonderful collection. Some tunes are just too long; the idea wears thin after 3 or 4 minutes. Otherwise, I can't think of a better introduction to a very talented artist. Go John go...

I had forgotten how synthesizer oriented he had become. I was hoping some of the music would be more like some of his earlier Ultravox tunes. It was still a pleasure to hear his distinct voice after a few years of not hearing him. I enjoyed the cd but he had lost lome of his edge.
