This book is amazing. It is a good read and very thought provoking! The book made me look at my life from an emotional/mental, spiritual, and physical aspect. It encouraged me that we can all make improvements in our life and that we should all strive to live life to the fullest and appreciate each and every day. One concept that really stands out in my mind is Dr. Hepker's numberous references to doing the right thing for the right sake, without the need for selfish recognition! How many times have we done the right thing for the right sake but needed the recogition for doing what is right? That really makes me think about me as a person and how doing the right thing for the right sake, without the need for selfish recogntion plays a part in my life. I will truly strive to move toward this goal as an individual.

I would recommend this book for anyone who is interested in making positive changes in their life.

I have the privilege of knowing Dr. Hepker. He is an extremely intelligent and amazing man and definitely portrays his beliefs in this book in his daily life!

Great job, Glen!

A big resounding bravo! This is an extremely important work. It is surprising that such a serious book is categorized in the Self-Help genre, not where I would expect to find such writing. Even while attempting to draw from decades of experience as a philosophy professor, I find it difficult to gauge the importance of this book; though, no matter, it should be viewed as with great respect and appreciation. It is extremely well written, and it concisely connects an AMAZING number of significantly profound and deeply meaningful dots in a way that is mind boggling. It punches hard, yet does so in a loving, empathetic, and unpretentious way. I am very thankful to have had the great fortune of reading it. I plan to spread the word!

I've had the privilege of meeting Dr. Hepker on several occasions and I can assure any potential readers that the message of his book is the same that he teaches his students and the same that he lives by. "A Glimpse of Heaven" is not intended to be an esoteric exploration of the meaning of existence, but rather a practical approach to improving one's state of mind and thus his or her life in general. It is a message that is easy to understand but a real challenge to live by day to day, and yet most things that are worth doing require real effort to produce the desired result. In other words, nothing of value comes easily.

This book is a reminder to the weary traveler that the journey of life is best experienced one step at a time. In a world were we are constantly struggling to get to the next thing, we often forget to appreciate the here and now. Dr. Hepker's book is, as the title states, a glimpse of something better that is within the reach of any individual who is willing to let go of the baggage that weighs him down so that he might rise to meet it.

Dr. Hepkers book is truly a gift to anyone looking to better themselves and the world around them. I have had the priveledge to be mentored by Dr. Hepker and get a personal insight into the notion of true health through true responsibility. As a member of our Law Enforcement community I commend Dr. Hepker for his vision and teachings. I hope you take the time to read his book and realize what a wonderful World we would live in if we all could see A Glimpse of Heaven.

I love this book! It says that one of "our greatest responsibilities" as human beings is to work toward "making the world a better place." It says that "one of the greatest gifts" we have in this world is that "there is always room for improvement," consequently, from a healthful view, we should learn to never fear it, never fear healthful change and greater insight if our goal is "True Health." A Glimpse of Heaven: The Philosophy of True Health certainly has made MY world a better place. So many things in the book are issues that I've wondered about and tried to understand, and the book puts it all into a "healthful" and "loving" perspective for me. The book says amazing things which are not really easy to comprehend in the simplest sense, let alone put into practice. But from the start, it makes it clear that it takes a LOT OF WORK. It touched my heart in ways that no other book ever has! It has opened up a whole other ("healthful") view of the world for me. It speaks of "connecting-the-healthful-dots," i.e., "Pattern Literacy" - a concept I had vaguely considered myself, but NOW it makes perfect sense. Its profound ideas of the "True Responsibility of Healthful Interaction," and "True Honesty" (developing deep "objective insight" or "witnessing" through an "unblemished view" by way the developed skill of "True Meditation")really hit home for me. I can't think of anything that makes more sense. I WANT to learn to "take True Responsibility" for my own "health and well-being," and I've never known what that truly means or how to do it. The book explains the clear steps as to how to go about it, and it really means a lot to me. It is worth its weight in gold. It looks like this is Volume 1, and I can't wait for Volume 2. I am so thankful for these new insights, too numerous to count!
