Those of you wishing for more of The 2nd Chapter of Acts' music, will enjoy this one thoroughly! Matthew Ward does background vocals & this CD is musically and lyrically very enjoyable and edifying! I LIKE IT! :-) If I didn't know better, I'd think that this is the 2nd Chapter of Acts! Wonderful! Buy it and send it to all your friends! And you can actually understand the words! Unlike a lot of artists nowadays. Thank you Amazon for making this CD available! Good choice!

When I purchased "Glimpses", I decided to play it on New Years' Eve. What a way to bring in the New Year!! I was blown away by the arrangements and musical stylings. What a gifted artist. Whether you are into Christian contemporary music or not, this is definitely a "must-listen-to" for anyone who appreciates beautiful music from the heart! Annie Herring scored high marks on this one!

Amazing arrangements. Takes Herring's writing to a new level as well as impressing the wonderful influence of her husband, Buck, on her music. Difficult, if not impossible, to top musically.

Magnificent voice that Annie 'plays' as a priceless instrument! Her phrasing, range, tonality and depth leave me breathless and in admiration of her talent and presentation.

Annie Herring displays three wonderful talents on this CD--writing words, writing music and singing. This is a very upbeat and uplifting collection of songs and is very inspiring to the listener. Annie Herring's voice blends beautifully with the background singers and creates a clear and wonderful sound. There is a nice mix of tempos, from the southern gospel sound of "Glory, Glory, Glory" to the soaring notes of the slower-paced "My Redeemer". Herring's love of the Lord is evident in every song and thus this is a highly-recommended collection.

Annie Herring has been my favorite vocalist for a long time and this latest CD was not a disappointment. She has such an amazing vocal range and it is espcially fine to hear her on headphones. But the best thing is that she sings from the depth of her being and touches my heart in a way that other artists don't. I feel like I know her like a sister. I have two favorite cuts on this CD. Kyrie and Sound of the Rounds. I am attending a liturgical church and I find this rendition of the Kyrie delightful and fun to sing. I'd like to hear it at church and see people clapping and swaying back and forth. Dream on. Sound of the Rounds is a round that grabs you from the start and is fascinating to listen to. I recommend this album for the precise and beautiful vocal qualities that Annie always delivers, the challenging music, and overall inspiriation.

Glimpses is an incredible collection of songs by one of the most accomplished Christian song writers of our time. If "I'll Be Waiting" doesn't take you to Heaven it will at least give you a glimpse of the gates. A must have.

I will echo the previous seven reviews. It's a shame we can give only five stars....this CD merits many more. Every track is outstanding and is by far the best of her CD's.

The closest to the original 2nd Chapter sound on any of the solo albums to date. Spirited, heartfelt songs, with Matthew shining through so clearly from the background that he sounds like he's duetting. Just wonderful. The only pity is that the total running time is barely 30 minutes.
