In this lavishly illustrated book, Ronald A. Lake shares his photographs of the life and landscapes of Madagascar from a trip taken in September of 2007 with a group from the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS). These images of rural life and city streets, of exotic lemurs and ancient baobabs, of rainforest and plains, reveal his personal glimpses of an extraordinary land and its people, as well as the many economic and social challenges it faces.

MUST SEE TO BELIEVE,

Any fan of Ron Lake's will want to own and cherish this book. The images will mean the most to people dreaming of far away places or thoes who have the opportunity to travel and are interested in documenting it with photography.
Ron Lake's photography has inspired us with fresh perspectives that we too often take for granted. I enjoyed the book very much. The page sizes are perfectly sized to properly enjoy the images and the print quality is excellent.

Moving Images of a Separate World,

Madagascar provides a wide-ranging set of images of a beautiful, isolated and unique ecosystem. Mr. Lake has captured the beauty of this island, and communicated in pictures the importance of this land for all of us. For a first book, he shows remarkable skill with the camera, and clearly understands the balance of humans, animals, plants and natural beauty. Kudos to Mr. Lake for a beautiful coffee-table book. I'll wait for his second with anticipation.
