Glitter Lava - Incredible Activity Putty

I bought this thinking it would be a new fun CRAFT. They show pictures of it being molded with your fingers. This is nothing more than glitter glue. It is very much liquidy and just like the tubes of crayola glitter glue. I don't know how they can call this PUTTY. It is not moldable. They suggest this is a craft for 4 year olds and older. I am 39 and found it challenging to play with. I had glitter and glue up to my elbows, plus it is so "liquidy" that it seeps through the mesh frames they give you to play with it. Maybe after it dries some you can mold it and play with it but in it's brand new just opened containers it is terribly difficult to work with. The pictures are misleading, this is much more challenging than the pictures look and absolutely not a craft for 4 or even 6 year olds for that matter. I found it challenging and fun for me. The two 5 year olds who started the project with me left after 10 minutes and I sat there trying to finish the project by myself.

This product is all over my clothes and my sons clothes. It sticks to everything it touches. We called it the Blob, because we couldn't get it off of ourselves. It's going in the trash.

This product ruined my daughter's brand new outfit! It says it "won't stain" but it does! I tried using a very strong stain remover but it will not come off of her clothes. I called the company and the rep I spoke with said they don't usually give reimbursements! Are you kidding me?! The packaging is a lie it says "won't stain" but it does and now they won't reimburse me?! I am waiting to hear back from them. I want my money back for that outfit! The packaging also says ages 3+...this is not even good for a 6 year old! Don't waste your money on this junk! The company doesn't even back it obviously!

Imagine taking a tub of maple syrup with some sparkle stuff in it and trying to create something meaningful. This is the worst product ever made. It is so bad I thought we were doing something wrong with it. I thought maybe it was missing parts or something. My kids had this sticky glue all over everything, and it took forever to get it off them. I promptly disposed in the trash, but found spider web-like runners between our table and the garbage can.

If you want to get back at the parents of children you hate, get them this as a gift. If you have ever loved your children, avoid this like nuclear waste. This product will be with you longer than nuclear waste, though. Forget about using the area you opened this product around for the next 100 years.

Amazon needs to refine their rating program to account for products that earn ZERO stars. This is one of the worst products I have ever seen.

At first, the consistency is like glittery glue. My kids almost cried when they tried to play with it - the stuff stuck to them as if it was bonding to their skin! It is NOT the consistency of putty! So I tried to leave it out overnight to see if I could salvage the product. It became slightly more firm, but still oozed all over the place and was impossible to hold in our hands.

In addition, I noticed that the goop had stained my light-wood kitchen table pink. Yes, now I have to go buy a new kitchen table. Thank you so much, Horizon Group USA! You obviously did NOT test this product properly, or you just didn't care. What a waste of time and money - not to mention a HUGE let-down to my kids!

Well, my mother in law gave this to my girls. Two years later, it is still in my carpet - all over the house. It completely ruined carpet and I did not know what it was or I would have thrown it away. Do not get this! You will try to keep it confined but it will find a way to seep into things and never come out. Beware!

Perhaps if we let this stuff dry a little before handling if it would be more putty like. That's what I was expecting from the package description. That's not what I got. I had two girls covered in goo that wouldn't easily come off. Imagine what it would look like if your kids stuck their hands in thick batter that is colorful and glittery and you will understand. I don't want to let it dry to try again. I tossed it into the trash can.

This stuff is a sticky goopy mess, it is glitter glue in a tub. Within five minutes my daughter had this all over her clothes. Luckily hot water takes it out. I gave it one star only because I had to select something, really wanted to give it zero!

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas - you kept asking Santa for it. It's sticky and had to work with. There's nothing to do with it. I would definitely not recommend buying it.

I bought Glitter Lava for my kids, ages 9, 7, 3. They love it. I love it. We have had a lot of fun with this stuff. I agree with others that it is impossible to mold into a permanent shape but that's not what we were expecting to do with it. We sit at the kitchen table, roll up our sleeves and just mess with it. It did get all over one daughter's socks and the other daughter's pants. At first I thought the clothes were ruined because this stuff does not want to come off. I tried washing the clothes. Didn't work. Then I tried boiling the clothes in a large pot on my stove and the glitter lava dissolves. Clothes are fine again. If you treat this like you would paint (stay away from carpet and wear appropriate clothing (or be willing to boil!)), it is really a fun toy.
