Product Description

Our Glo Germ Powder contains proven safe ingredients which simulate the presense of real germs, 5 micros in size. Glo Germ Powder will illuminate under UV light, showing where actual germs would reside. Our powder works best for demonstrating proper surface cleaning as well as the spread of germs, especially cross-contamination. Dust a very small amount of powder to a surface, or apply the powder with our Glo-Brush Applicator.

I think for hand washing demos it will work fine ;and I would use it again.

I use this product (along with UV lights) to provide visual indication of cross-contamination during chemical safety training.

It did spread pretty well -- all students who touched the stuffed animal had "germs" on their hands afterwards.

I used this product in an early education program with kids under 5, and it worked very well. They liked seeing the powder show up on their hands, and it showed just how thorough you have to be when washing to remove it.

I would definitely recommend it if you have to teach people about hand-washing.

I bought this product with the gel-version, and was very pleased with the powder. I was disappointed with the gel, though. I would recommend the powder for the glow-in-the-dark factor. Was a great product.

I ordered this powder to demonstrate germ transmission. It successfully transferred from a door knob to hand and then from hand to hand. I just brushed it on the door knob. Thanks for a great product!

Bought this as part of an instructional component on teaching high school students the importance of washing hands and bacterial transfer. It works pretty well, and certainly gives a shock value, a "wow!" from the students. Although the powder is not entire invisible when applied to dark surfaces or very non-stick surfaces like paper, it does get the job done and glows like mad in UV light.

use for rehab facility to teach inpatients to protect themselves from infection by personal hygeine. I used with a $5 hardware store black bulb inside of a large box. provide a mask/ or else contain powder when applying, as it is easy to inhale. I had the patients turn their heads and while placing hands inside a large shopping bag and rubbing in powder. This way there was no mess.

I had heard about this stuff from another teacher and decided to try it out. I used a clean cheap make up brush and bought a black light separate from what is offered on the GloGerm website. I am going to order some more GloGerm when I run out of this. But it is worth the money since a little goes a LONG way. It will last forever.

I am a science teacher and I use this powder when I teach about lab safety or the immune system. The kids get so grossed out thinking that it's actually residue from chemicals or dirt. Great introduction to get the kids engaged.

The Glo Germ Powder did exactly as the seller described it was going to do. You cannot see the powder on your hands after you rub it in, but it glows very well under a UV black light. I bought this product to use for my Masters in Public Health Epidemiology of Infectious Disease class to show how "germs" can be transmitted via stethoscopes, and cannot wait to see how a group of MPH students react to see how easily "germs" can be transmitted to them. In addition, after seeing how infected my hands were with the Glo Germ Powder, I washed my hands with an alcohol based hand sanitizer, rechecked it under the UV light and the "germs" were gone. The UV black light I am using is something you can easily buy at Spencers or Party City, its a small AA battery operated light with a 6" bulb.

When my girlfriend started to cringe when the "germs" lit up under the black light, I knew that I found the right product to use for my class presentation. And hopefully I'll get to use this stuff for nursing school and nosocomial infections, the cringe factor is going to be worth it!
