Book Description

2010
In this book veteran constitutional lawyer Jonathan W. Emord explains the intellectual origins of freedom of speech from the Age of Enlightenment to the founding of the American republic. Today government censorship of health information worldwide relies on the same mechanisms of prior restraint that were used in Europe from the sixteenth to the eighteenth centuries. Emord shows this censorship to be a byproduct of government efforts to protect state- sponsored drug monopolies from competition. The protectionism locks out of the market information indispensable to human health to fill the coffers of drug companies and to establish drugs to be the only lawful means to prevent and treat disease when an enormous body of science reveals dietary ingredients to have disease prevention and treatment effects. Convinced that speech freedom and health are lost due to government censorship, Emord explains how litigation and legislation can be used to bring down the barriers and give the public access to information that can save lives.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Information! A Real Eye-Opener August 20, 2010
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Like myself the author of this book is a freedom lover and we are losing it faster than you can say lost freedom.
Jonathon takes on the giants and beats them in court. Having defeated FDA (the Food & Drug Administration, which I am now calling the Fascist Drug Association) seven separate times in court, attorney Jonathon Emord tells us that the FDA's chief counsel told him after one case, that the "FDA will never abide by the court's decision-never ever."

Can you imagine?? We now have unelected bureaucrats operating outside the law and the Constitution! This little gem gives the reader great reason to read another of Jonathon Emords books--The Rise of Tyranny--How Federal Agencies Abuse Power and Pose Risks to Your Life and Libery.

Well these books are real power for freedom lovers in the fight to regain health care freedom and in restoration of Constitutional Government.

These books will help wake-up America--Let's hope its not too late.

By A Adams
Format:Paperback
"Global Censorship of Health Information" is one of the most important books you'll ever read on health freedom and the global censorship of nutritional science. It is written by one of the most lucid and well-informed thinkers in the industry: Attorney Jonathan Emord, who has relentlessly fought against censorship in the courtrooms.

This book delivers a rock-solid treatise on why the citizens of the world have a right to know about truthful, scientifically-validated health benefits provided by foods, superfoods, nutritional supplements and natural remedies. It explains why FDA-enforced "nutritional illiteracy" is a danger to not just our health but our freedoms as well.

As the editor of one of the top natural health news sites on the 'net, I have read hundreds of books on topics like nutrition, natural remedies and health freedom, but none of them impacted me as greatly as this book by one of the industry's intellectual giants. If you want to know why we all deserve access to scientifically-validated nutritional knowledge, read this book and then join us all in taking action to end FDA censorship of nutritional science.

We've all been kept in the dark for too long. Emord's books sheds a brilliant light on a subject that desperately needs to be more widely discussed.

I highly recommend this book. It will open your eyes and embolden you to take action to end the censorship of nutritional science.

5.0 out of 5 stars Helping the public stay healthy and informed September 9, 2010
Format:Paperback
For anyone that wants to take their power (and health) back from the pharmaceutical industry and from the limitations of insurance companies, "Global Censorship of Health Information," is one of the most important books you can ever read. Written with tremendous heart and love for humanity, Emord courageously explains how certain dietary supplements and nutrient dense foods have strong scientific evidence that they prevent disease and in many cases may arrest it. Emord also speaks out against the FDA members and government agencies who are trying to repress valuable health and wellness information from the general public.

5.0 out of 5 stars A man you want beside you at The Barricades January 17, 2011

A cogent author Johnathan Ebord illuminates the neccesity to remove lobbyists to establish a fair 'playing field'for citizens and have the best representation in Government. How can one argue that dismantling the FDA,replacing it with a Body of Expertise reflecting a broader view of what is best for the Public, will save the taxpayer an awful lot of revenue coupled with a dramatic reduction in the cost of medicine through fair competition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Global Censorship of Health Information April 9, 2012
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
Absolutely clarifying look at the reasons that people always ask "Why didn't I know this before I got involved in these risky drug therapies?" I will keep this as an essential part of my patient's resource library.Nutritional treatment should be the foundation of all good care. This book makes the case for healthy living through legislative action and litigation that actually makes sense.

2.0 out of 5 stars Incomplete Nutrient Information September 7, 2012
Format:Paperback
Emord, a lawyer writes (as you might expect) as a lawyer not a scientist. But his topic is biologic. He suggests that all nutrients are beneficial. He quotes Dr Mary Enig but ignores the facts that she and her foundation are not actually "revealing the actual or potential role of dietary ingredients" but rather the fact that dietary carbohydrates (contrary to Standard American Belief) are actually not beneficial and have no potential role to the health of a human. Similarly, the much vilified fats are mostly good for humans. It's a myth that a low-fat diet is good for our heart, inflammation, cancer. The reverse is true. Eat fat, avoid grains, starch sugars, all carbohydrates. None of this is obvious in this book. It is a myth that most nutrients are beneficial!
