4.0 out of 5 stars Inspiration from Meadows on depressing planetary facts, January 28, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Global Citizen (Paperback)
Some activists tend to preach or convey a self-righteous attitude in their approach to educating the public about the environment. Some state depressing facts that can make you feel helpless. Meadows simply states her expansive knowledge of the environment, her experiences in collecting the facts, and some very passionate stories to put it into perspective. Her book is a mind-opener and motivator.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not to be missed!, November 26, 2008
This review is from: Global Citizen (Paperback)
The late Donella Meadows was one of the greatest systemic thinkers of our times. This book is a collection of her extremely readable columns (short essays) on environmental topics. Global Citizen will not only inform you, but will also help you think about these things in a much more wholistic, interconnected, ecologically & socially complex way - and not only that, it will do it painlessly. Her generosity of spirit and sense of humor enliven even the driest of topics.
