What a great way to display those priceless candid shots of kids or prints of scenic vistas from a memorable vacation. Each of the four 3-1/2-inch-square glass coasters in this set can fit a miniature 2-by-1-1/3-inch photo within its white border. Pictures slide into a metal sleeve on the back of each coaster, where they are protected from wet drinks. Photos are easy to retrieve again so they can be updated with replacements. Four rubber feet on the bottom of the coasters protect coffee tables from scratches. When cocktail hour is over, all coasters stack neatly in the accompanying chrome stand. This product is very nice, and is as promised. Unfortunately, the glass is very brittle. This shouldn't be a problem once you have them in your home, but because the glass comes in a metal stand, and there is ZERO padding provided by the manufacturer's packaging, and because Amazon puts it loose in a box with those loose airpak bags around them, some of them are ALWAYS chipped and broken by the time you receive it.

I ordered and received one set, and two of the glass coasters were chipped and cracked. Amazon's return policy is VERY good, and they shipped the replacement set OVERNIGHT. Fortunately, I had not yet shipped back the original set (using Amazon's pre-paid return postage) - I say this is fortunate because the replacement set also had one chipped coaster. I was able to make ONE complete set of four unchipped coasters from the two sets.

But save yourself the problems - find this product at your local store and check it carefully for chips and cracks before purchasing. I can pretty much guarantee any of these items shipped by Amazon will arrive broken.

I love Amazon, and I believe they are working to reduce unnecessary packaging, but this is an item they need to inspect, then carefully bubble-wrap and THEN put it in a box with airpak protection. Until then, don't buy this good product from the good company Amazon.

I really like the product, however, it took them two tries to get it to me unbroken. The coasters look nice, but even the set I have still has tiny chips in it from poor packaging and shipping. Definitely buy these in store and not online.

I ordered 4 sets of these coasters and all had chipping problems. One was even broken completely in half. Not sure why I didn't listen to the other reviews.
