I got the set and it looked beautiful when I pulled it out of the box. However, when I placed the coasters in the holder, the sides fell off. I tried everything to glue them back but nothing has worked so far - they keep falling off. So, I now dont even bother with the sides and just place them on the base. The coasters are great though - it's just the holder that sucks!

I'm updating my review and if I could change the star rating I would - I'd bring it down to one star. Within a week or two I realized that glasses stick to the coaster (not because it has stuff spilled on it either). It's almost as if there's a suction action and then you pick up your glass and if you're not paying attention, you also pick up the coaster which proceeds to drop on your table or your foot if you're standing up. 9 out of 10 times we curse at the coasters b/c of this problem. We're buying new coasters this weekend.

First, I actually bought the "Circle" pattern coasters, but I was unable to find that product listing on Amazon, and the product I own is nearly identical to this.

I've had the coasters for nearly a year, and they're a great set for the price. They do the job, clean up easily, and look great. As other reviewers have stated, depending on the type of cup/glass you set on them, they do occassionally stick to the bottom. But, I've dropped them and haven't been too careful with them, and they seem to be good quality and sturdy, because they haven't chipped, cracked, or broken. Another downside is that, being glass coasters, they are susceptible to scratches, but the scratches are not very noticeable. These coasters have kept up pretty well through frequent use/cleaning, and I would buy another set.

Oversight on my part...

If you're going to get coasters to absorb liquids that sweat from your cups, pick something other than glass. Leather, wood, and cork would probably be far more suitable options.

While these are pretty and very decorative, they're terrible at doing what they're designed to do, which is keep my table dry. Whenever I put a cold drink on one of these, there's soon water sweating off the glass, onto the coaster, and then pooling on it until it dribbles off onto the table.

These coasters need a lip to prevent spillage and make them useful.

To add a bit more disappointment, the clear rubber feet on each coaster are not put on uniformly, creating an odd staggered look into the optical illusion of having these coasters stacked.

Again, very pretty, but not practical and not terribly useful.

it was an excellent and quick transaction and buy. as for the item, i like it because it's fashionably adequate with my furniture. yet, it's function is decent. sometimes the coaster sticks to the bottom of the drinks. still, i love it!

What can I say, its a set of coasters and they stop water rings. However, the caddy broke while in transit. The design is extremely poor--metal tubes glued onto glass; you know that's going to break eventually. I'll try some gorilla glue and see if that does the trick. Also, I'm pretty sure I got someone else's broken product that they just sent on to the next customer because both ends of the metal tubes had old glue residue from where they were at one time affixed to the base. I don't like getting a sub-par product and I sure as heck don't like getting a broken product that was already returned for the same defect. Like I stated, it gets the job done and the design looks cool, but the caddy is terrible and the company obviously doesn't pride itself on presenting a good product. If you need some cheap coasters, then buy these; but if you're looking for something nice to leave out and let people actually view in your home, I suggest saving your pennies and buying something of higher quality.

i loved these glass coasters they are so me but the only thing that was wrong with it was the last coaster didnt have all 4 clear grips it only had 3 so it leans to one side...is there any way i can get that clear grip since it was missing???

These feel solid, look nice, and do the job they're intended to do (protect your furniture). I do have to dock one star, though, because these will stick to your glass sometimes as the glass becomes wet. This is a more general problem for coasters. The workaround is to lift one side of the glass off first, so it won't "suction" the drinking glass to the coaster.

I ditched the holder, so I can't speak to the durability, etc. of that piece. I simply keep my coasters in a stack.

Holder broke within a day. Coaster sticks to condensation on glass when you lift it, you eventually have one tat falls and breaks. One shattered when my girlfriend set her drink on it. Two have chipped on the edges. Throw everything away within two months.

We had to go through 3 sets before we got one that didn't have the holder broken or a coaster chipped, other than that (they were good about returns), love the product. Really nice and sleek design, easy clean up, very pleased.

Right out of the box, one of the chrome stands was detached from the glass stand that holds the coasters. And it is difficult to glue it back on as a previous reviewer mentioned. However, since the non-stick feet of the coasters will not slip off the stand, the lack of one of the chrome stands is not a big deal. The coasters themselves look good with a simple, yet elegant design, but the coasters do stick to the bottom of the glass once condensation forms. All in all, these are still worth it for the price.
