4.0 out of 5 stars you must have a wide taste in dance music for this volume...
If you're a collector of the Global Groove series, here's what you get with this volume. DJ Julian Marsh mixes are not for diehard Hardhousers. His music is more of the uplifting vocal, disco flavored and pretty trance variety-light, not dark. This disc begins with more commercial, vocal house, and segues towards light trance near the end. 2.0 out of 5 stars Hmm..more of a "Drag Queen" (No offense meant!) CD
I was thinking this more "club techno", but this is more of the techno that I hear when seeing a drag show. Kind of flamey. Nothing wrong with drag queens, just wasn't what I was looking for.

His music is more of the uplifting vocal, disco flavored and pretty trance variety-light, not dark. This disc begins with more commercial, vocal house, and segues towards light trance near the end. The trancey version of Alone by Sandy B was interesting, I'm used to the hard version. I was most impressed by the cover of Venus, which I expected to be high NRG cheese, but which actually retained some more aggressive integrity. Only downside is that it was the shortest song on the disc, which has an impressive number of long versions, all segued, of course. Here's the time listing:

1. Proud (6:20)

2. The Fire (6:22)

3. The third Pleasure (7:18)

4. Over you (6:13)

5. Happy Daize (6:52)

6. the Soulshaker (7:46)

7. Venus (5:20)

8. Alone (8:44)

9. Now We Are Free (5:55)

10. Always on My Mind (9:56)
