Love these knives! Very light, but wicked sharp. The block it comes in looks cool and has plenty of slots for future additions, although the four pieces pretty much covers your everyday needs. One only thing, I thought the slicer was serrated but it's not. It still cuts breads/cakes with ease.

These knives are fantastic! I have used Henkel knives for years, but these knives are far superior. So lightweight and so amazingly sharp. I would definitely recommend them for everyone!

I'm re-doing the accessories in my kitchen. I've decided that it was time to grow up and buy some real knives. One of my friends suggested Global and I'm glad they did. These knives are amazing! I've never cut vegetables and meat so finely. I've always wanted to prepare Udon with fresh slices of beef and allow the hot water to cook each slice. With other knives, the meat is cut too thickly, but not with these! I can't wait to completely fill my butchers block. I'm thinking bread knife next and a Santoku knife, of course.

If you're reading this, you've probably already made up your mind about investing into this brand of knives and likely have started to compare prices. Here are the four knives I got from this set. G2-20cm cook, GS3-13cm cook, GS38-9cm paring and G8-22cm roast slicer. The first three knives can be purchased together (G2338) for about $223 and the slicer for about $106. I've used all the knives and may perhaps get the GS5 and G46, since there is plenty of room in the block for future additions, but for now, what I have is more than enough.
