About the Author

J. Bradford Jensen, senior fellow and former deputy director at PIIE, is an associate professor at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University and a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. Before joining the Institute, he served as director of the Center for Economic Studies at the US Bureau of the Census. Jensen pioneered the use of plant-level microdata to investigate the impact of trade on the US economy.
