Zhiqun Zhu is MacArthur Chair in East Asian Politics, Director of the China Institute, and Associate Professor of Political Science and International Relations at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, USA. His research and teaching interests include U.S. –East Asian relations, East Asian political economy, and Chinese politics and foreign policy. He is the author of China's New Diplomacy: Rationale, Strategies and Significance (Ashgate, 2010, 2nd edn. 2013) and U.S. –China Relations in the 21st Century: Power Transition and Peace (Routledge, 2005), and the editor of The People's Republic of China Today: Internal and External Challenges (World Scientific Publishing, 2010) and New Dynamics in East Asian Politics: Security, Political Economy, and Society (Continuum International, 2012).

More About the Author

Dr. Zhiqun Zhu is currently Director of the China Institute and Associate Professor of Political Science and International Relations at Bucknell University in Pennsylvania. He was the MacArthur Chair in East Asian Politics at Bucknell University from 2008 to 2014. His teaching and research interests focus on Chinese politics, East Asian politics, Chinese foreign policy, East Asian political economy, and US-Asia relations.

In addition to the books listed at amazon.com, he has published dozens of journal articles and book chapters on East Asian and Chinese politics and foreign policy. He was a visiting professor at Doshisha University in Japan, a visiting senior fellow (twice) at East Asian Institute of National University of Singapore and a POSCO fellow (twice) at East-West Center in Hawaii. He previously taught at University of Bridgeport in Connecticut, Hamilton College in New York and Shanghai International Studies University. He was the senior information assistant at U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai in the early 1990s. He is sought frequently by international media to comment on Chinese and East Asian affairs.
